Im waiting for my Pd to be come current. I call the visa people and I spoke to a lady, I give her all my info and everything and she told me,they have to send my paperwork back home. MY question is if my sister filed from the usa and im in the usa, will I have to go back home to get my papers? Plz help me understand

if you have your visa number available, your priority date become current, you can do the adjustment of status in the States. So, it's not necessary to go back home to finish the process

day 2 -- 04/12/2012-- package was received.

day 43-- 05/23/2012-- Notice for an interview is received for 06/26 @ 2pm

day 63-- 06/12/2012-- Received a Text & email for an update- Card production EAD/AP

day 77-- 06/26/2012-- interview / approved on the spot.

day 86-- 07/05/2012-- Received my GC in the mail.

ROC

day 1 -- 04/07/2014 -- ROC Package delivered to VSC

day 16 -- 04/23/2014 -- Walk-in Bio.

day 197 -- 10/20/2014-- Approval Letter received dated 10/16/2014

day 202 -- 10/25/2014-- GC received

I was petition in 2001 and I was in the us twice before I came here to live.Im in the usa right now

siblings don't qualify to adjust status in the us, unless they are here under a legal visa or qualify under the 245i law. you don't qualify for neither, so you will have your interview in your country and incur in a 10 year ban.

Actually if she was petitioned on or before 30th April 2001 then she would qualify for a 245(i) adjustment.

Alternatively, she would be able to do an in-country adjustment if she is now in a legal status and has no previous overstay issues.

Myafi1985! You are absolutely wrong...he can adjust his status only as if he were sponsored by his spouse here. The NVC knows what the laws is about.

you are wrong, anybody can adjust his/her status to a permanent resident if he/she is in a legal status and and his/her PD becomes current

Not exactly...A good professor who understands that knowledge is NOT absolute/perfect and that we are all striving for 'perfect answers' will give the student 'credit' for at least trying! That's why there is the 'curve' in grading.
