Calculated NBC NOA2 date

I just made my second call since receipt of NOA1 and my call was stepped up. I asked very direct questions concerning the problem with MSC receipts and where our files were.

Question 1 Where is my file?

Answer: It is physically in Missouri

Question 2 Will my file be transferred?

Answer: Only if there is a problem with the file and a Local service center needs to see the applicant, otherwise, we will be adjudicating here in Missouri.

NOTE: I beat this one like a drum and was assured the file will stay in Missouri unless have a request or problem with the file. I was also told I WILL get a notice if forwarded to local office, unlike the statement online. She was aware of that statement, but assured me its intention is outdated hmmm, interesting statement.

Additional information from operator: We understand the frustration with the receipt numbers, there is a problem with our system with the receipt numbers from late September to early October and we are still working on correcting the problem. We hope to resolve it very soon Others are slowly being able to check status and you will also in the near future.

I felt I had a very knowledgeable person on the phone and she was very kind and told me to call and get updated every couple weeks if I like, but not to worry the file is in process.

Maybe others can call and ask the same questions and see if the answers stay the same? It would be helpful to figuring out whats going on.

chetsky - good on you ! I always badger the CSR and insist to get an ISO, each call.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I got my NOA1 in the middle of October and have never been able to see it online. I'm honestly not worried about that though. No one else should be either. Why? Because if you read old threads on VJ there are many many instances where the number says initial review until it is completed and they get a notice from the NVC. It's unreliable at best. headbonk.gif I think it's awesome some people can see it, just don't worry if you cant.

Again a reminder to update your filing locations on both your profile and timeline! :D Doing so helps everyone, including yourself. The more info that goes in, the better of an idea we get out.

Hi fellow VJ'ers,

I calculated a rough NOA2 date for September and Oktober filers who got handled by the NBC (normal cases, no expediting). The dates are based on the information in the VJ timelines. Please note that this is just for fun, it might not even come close to the actual dates. Let me know what you're calculated date range is! Then we can see if the calculations were correct.

September filers: NOA1 date + 76-82 days

October filers: NOA1 date + 72-86 days

My NOA1 date is 10 October, so its:

10 October + 72-86 = 21 December - 2 January.

So that would be the range in which I would receive my NOA2 according to this calculation. Again, it's just for fun cuz I like playing with numbers :) Have fun!

Yay I am at day 63 so if your calculation is correct I should have my NOA2 in the next couple of weeks :D :D

I still try to check mine every few days, but until I reach about day 90, I have no intention of calling to ask about status. Just isn't worth it at this point.

Thanks for all the feedback! Cool that so many people entered :) I hope it's somewhat correct!

I know right! It's always better to have something to look forward too.

Sept. 11 + 76-82 days = Nov. 26 - Dec. 2, so that's quite soon!

Thank you so much! :D (Embarrassed) Yeah, quite soon. However, my profile timeline showed that our case will be adjudicated between November 29 - January 15.

God bless us all! :)

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
