Despite of these issues, I hope you had the time of your life.

It was the fastest wedding in the history of weddings

There was no dancing or alcohol so it was like 'great, we got married, now have some food and get out THANKS FOR THE PRESENTS!'

I wish I had some of these right now. I'm about to stick a frozen chicken pot pie in the microwave for lunch...

I picked the first bell pepper off my bell pepper plant today!

I feel like such a gardener

We bought a 1997 Ford Expedition XLT (all the options) off a friend of my husband. I spent the weekend cleaning it out and making it more "me" (i.e. not smelling like "guy"). It admit it was a novelty being able to STAND in the 2nd row of the vehicle (we have the 3rd row as well) and just bend at the waist to clean the seats. I'm 5'7" so hardly short either! Can't wait for Tony to fix the CV shaft/tie rod end/get new tyres... whatever it is he was talking about so we can register and drive it (p.s. love that my husband is a mechanic! among other things :D).

Oh, and for some bizarre reason the new rear wipers we bought are too long... even though they're what all the books and internet say it's supposed to take.

Last night I heard a little commotion in the corner of the kitchen and saw my cat scrambling across the floor and running away. Since then, he won't go near that corner. He lay down and kept watching it, moving his head slightly like he was watching something over there. I thought it was a bug, but nope. I picked him up and brought him to the corner so maybe he'd lead me to whatever he's seeing, he started clawing up my shoulder to get away from something, he was scared! He was making me paranoid! Still this morning, he walks a different route to the living room instead of going through the kitchen. What the hell!

May be a giant mouse kicked his butt, and now he's scared of him...

He was pretty scared of my Hello Kitty slippers for a while.

What's happened in my life the last week or so:

- I got an American bank account last week. PNC. Now I just have to call my Swedish bank and activate some service that allows me to transfer money to foreign accounts and I'll be set in the bank department.

- I got my wife a dozen roses, a card and a box of chocolate for Valentines Day. I made lasagna. She got me a card and some delicious chocolate too. Russell Stover Pecan Delights - they were truly delightful! We had a nice evening. Neither one of us really care about Valentines, but since it was our first Valentines together, I wanted to do something nice for her, and she felt the same way. :)

- Saturday Feb. 16 was my birthday. We had breakfast at a place down in the Strip District called De Luca's, a diner. We chilled out at home for a bit and in the evening we went to a place called Latitude 40 - we played bowling and had nachos and pizza. I think my wife's daughter liked the place the most, but we all had fun. We got milkshakes on the way home. On Sunday we went to a hibachi restaurant called Ichiban. It was the first time my wife and I had been to such a place, my wife's daughter had been a couple times before I think. I really liked it. The cook put on a fantastic show, and the food was really tasty. I had fried rice and fried noodles, veggies and fried shrimp. Just excellent! In the evening we went to my wife's parents and had dinner and cake. Great first birthday weekend in America, I had a wonderful time. :)
