It takes about 4-6 weeks for normal processing for $165 but there's an expedite process too for 2-3 weeks with an extra fee of $60. If traveling with 14 days, you have to go to the Regional Passport Agency in your city.

Good luck!

Although US citizens can visit most of the countries in the world without a visa, some do require on reciprocal basis.

Of course you may consider visiting your home country, using your old passport issued by them, keeping aside your US passport. Be aware in some countries, it is illegal to use their passport once you acquire citizenship from other countries.

For example Indians are supposed to surrender their passport on becoming US citizens and get a surrender certificate, failing which, if you use their passport illegally, there is a hefty fine.

I do not know your country of origin. Your nickname sounds like name of an Indian movie. If you are from India, apart from counting the days to get your US passport, include the days of your waiting to get Indian Visa. Better know your legal rights before leaving US for another country.

The Naturalization certificate will be given on the Oathtaking day, as soon as you get that you can go ahead and apply for passport (submitted my application for PP at LA Post office) for me it takes 2 weeks when I received my PP by mail but if you do express will be much faster.

congratulations, you can pay a extra fee to have the passport expedited, you will need to also send your original naturalization certificate, make a copy of it first for your self and make sure you sign the certificate, when it's sent back to you first the passport then another envelope a day or two later the naturalization will come,
