Yes it will get easier - NOA2 should be soon. After NOA2 I was able to call NVC, track package down to the very day it was delivered and e-mailed embassy to get the quickest interview day, but even though interview day next Friday today I still felt like OMG so long and still missing my sweetie but it will get a little easier please keep the faith. Good luck on your journey.

You're not alone, doll. The best things in life are worth fighting for and you're surrounded by people who are struggling toward the same goal. It's not an easy process. Just keep your eye on the prize because before you know it you'll be a happy family having breakfast together. That small thing in itself is a gift that so many couples take for granted and once you've finally got it you'll have a relationship stronger than anyone you know because of what you went through to achieve it.

My husband and I spend so many hours a day in tears on Skype and something we just keep repeating everytime that unmistakable pain in your middle fires up is 'It'll all be worth it in the end--We're almost there.' And it will. You just have to have faith. I'm not gonna be happy until he's laying in bed with me and we're watching some dodgy TV show like Storage wars and yelling at the TV over what they're paying for. Chin up :)

Okay I so love that comment and feel you and I will hope we will all be doing a lot of that soon. I really like this place as we all can relate.Wishing you well, stay busy and focused this only gives you more time to talk about the crazy transition to high priced everything lol.

sometime the USCIS is not he longest stage of the process. My husband went through the entire visa process in 7 months only to be put into administrative processing at the time of his interview. It has been 2 months in AP and we have no idea when it will end. I know that no matter how long it takes, every minute of every hour of every day of every month will have been worth it. We love each other and he is worth every second of it!!!

Imagine what it'd feel like if we didn't have skype or any sort of online communication? I awoke Saturday to my husband having changed his background picture on his computer to a skype screenshot of me, and the small picture of him in the corner. That's about 1½ years old but he keeps in mind how difficult it was being limited to a 2d version of our relationship. However, I still visited him and while waiting for NOA2 I saved money for moving overseas. Take advantage of the time you have in home country and go around taking pictures of things that are precious to you - or take your laptop with you and skype your SO from those places. I often called my husband (skype on the phone) on roller blades while walking my dogs(or them dragging me). He got to see me in other situations than just sitting down in front of a computer which meant alot to him.

Take your kiddo to the playground and skype while there (if possible). Getting outside the four walls is awesome! Especially becaue you in for a long journey on the US side after entering.

If it gets easier or when it does? About the time where you're in charge of the paperwork and it doesn't feel like the paperwork is the thing keeping you apart. Otherwise there's a topic on Visa Journey called "yes you can visit" :)

I feel your pain too! We got engaged in February and filed our paperwork at the end of May and received our NOA1. According to comments on here the Vermont Svc Center average for Kazakhstan is five months. I am hoping that somehow we will be less, since we just started the fourth month. Looking at some paperwork on the Flowchart shows about 3-4 months after receiving the NOA2 she will be in America. However, Olga said she was talking with some ladies in KZ that said it was a month after they received their NOA2 that they were having their interview. Stressful in waiting thats for sure!!! Thankfully with a strong Faith we will get through this quickly! I hope the same for you.

As you well know, it will all be worth it soon! It was miserable waiting, especially being at work while she slept and vice versa. My phone bill was outrageous as we talked several times a day! We were 230 days from our NOA1 to interview and she came home with me 5 days later! Best of luck to you and yours!

I feel your pain! At the time We were waiting on our k1 approval Vermont was going quickly and CSC was real slow. Of course, our petition was at CSC. I posted something similar about the wait being almost unbearable. It didn't seem like we would ever get our approval - but it will get there. Use your time to get things ready - clean out closets, etc. I know its hard to believe but once you get the interview scheduled things will move quickly and you will wonder how you are going to have everything ready. Good luck with your visa journey!

I haven't got any questions, but just wanted to post a thread expressing how hard this process is. I'm glad that I am going through it, but just finding it so hard being away from my fiance :/.

We have a beautiful son together, I just want us to be a family. This is very grueling.

I'm going through the longest part of the process now, which is waiting for us to be approved at the Vermont Service Centre. I am not hearing good things about their timescale, so this is making the situation worse.

Just would like some comforting words, just so I know that i'm not the only one feeling like this. Also if anyone has anymore info regarding the processing times at VSC would be greatly appreciated.

Feeling sad...

It is hard, it gets harder when you see petitions way after yours get approved too. Keep chatting on here and to your fiancé, with the exception of people on here and perhaps people in the army etc. There aren't many people that truly understand how hard this process is. So it's not easy for friends/family to understand and support you.

I know this though, it's totally worth it and the pain and tears will vanish with immense happiness when you get that email/text or see it on the site that you have been approved :) On a side note, if you get an RFE, that's not a bad thing either. Normally they're small things to sort out and you can send the paperwork back with in a day of getting it - then you know you'll get your approval in 1-3 weeks - out of the NOA1 to NOA2 void of unknowing. :)

I'm not sure if you've been busy with the other parts of the process or not, but I would recommend getting all the vaccinations you can from your GP/Nurse as they'll be cheaper than at the medical. Some will be on NHS, my doctors wouldn't give me the MMR on NHS as they said it's through my choice to move countries, so the NHS shouldn't pay. Odd as I had the others, but they did give me a prescription for it and this was obviously cheaper. I then went back the doctors for them to inject it and update my vaccination history. :)

When you come to the medical, it's easy. One thing to remember, if they don't ask, is to tell them if you've had chickenpox as they'll write that on the paperwork, so you may not need the chickenpox vaccination for the AOS :)

The other thing you can do, is obviously prepare you folder for the interview.

When your petition reaches the London US Embassy, they'll send out packet 3 - which is just a letter with a link on it for downloading the forms to fill in. So if you want you can download them and fill them in now, so you're ready...

http://london.usembassy.gov/visaforms.html

For K1 you need...

DS-2001

DS-156 - This is an online form, all it does is give you a barcode on the form when you print it out, but I'd wait until nearer the time before you do this one.

DS-156K

DS-157

DS-230 part 1 - This must be completed for you and each child/family member going with you.

DS-156 and DS-157 you have duplicates - so print 2 of, or 3 for a back up copy.

If you don't yet have your police certificate, get it now as it lasts a year there's no harm...

Thank you so much for your help!

I love keeping busy and anything that's going towards the Visa is definitely worth doing!

My vaccinations, I am taking care of. I have an appointment on the 27th with the Nurse, who has researched what vaccinations she can give me.

On one form that I have to download, you mentioned that I have to fill out info about myself and anyone going with me. My 6 month old Son is obviously coming with me, but he has dual citizenship, he has a US passport already, so do i just have to fill that out on there?

Thanks again :-)

Sorry, I forgot to ask as well.

Regarding the vaccinations, there are some like the Zoster and HPV the Nurse can't give to me because of my age, what do i do in this situation? Will they do at the medical? Are all the vaccinations mandatory? I read on another thread that the only 4 that they look for is TDAP, Influenza, Varicella and Menningcococcal, is this true? I am getting a bloodtest to prove that I have antibodies against Chickenpox. What was your experience at the medical?
