I want to personally appologize to all VJ'ers that are going through the delay at VSC. See it seems I always pick the wrong line at groceries store checkouts, check in lines at airports and now since I live in Florida I got Vermont chosen for me

Leave it to me to bring a knife to a gun fight and be at the airport when my ship comes in :help:

Good luck to us all.. I thought a little humor today might help everyone. Waiting sucks I know...

There is no pattern to how USCIS handles cases, one would think it is first come first served. This is how any business would handle cases, but our Government is not any Business, no wonder people get frustrated, when you see people from the same country approved after your filling date. It is very difficult to explain this to the beneficiary, they think there is something wrong with them, and it is there fault the case is delayed. I am sure our Government is working with outdated computers and equipment. Except for the IRS there computers are up to date.

So judging from people's NOA2 dates from Vermont, it appears that they are almost a month behind the 5-month approval average! Unlike California who seems to be 2 or 3 months ahead of theirs...lol! My latest estimated approval date is almost a whole month later than the average 5-month timescale that Vermont have!

I think it gets harder to be patient for the NOA2 the closer to the estimated approval date you get! Lol!

don't worry as soon as you got your noa2 things goes faster..trust me  goodluck!!!!!!!!!!

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

Thank you for the humor... every little bit helps. VSC is the extremely slow lane and doesn't seem to care that it is so far behind while California is on to May. Very depressing.

I honestly agree with this. Me and a vj friend of mines are filing for the same type of visa. Her date was 4 days before mines and i received my NOA2 in 126 days and she still has not received hers. Its almost like they just pick and choose from some type of lottery to which cases they are going to work on. The process is ridiculous. Some people have even contacted their local government to get them involved. Only to find out that there case was sitting on the desk for months without anyone working on it at all.

Like others on this thread, my fiancee and I are way past the 5 months mark: at 205 days today since we also filed with Vermont on January 17. Keep your spirits up!

Have you called your congressional office?

Yup, called, filled out forms, mailed letters. I live Washington, DC, so I don't have a "real" congressional representative. But I've gone through Sen. Dianne Feinstein's office in CA where my parents live.

Hey! I think you might need to call and follow up at Vermont. We were a month behind the processing estimate as well. We called last Friday and they told us it would be processed in the next 30 days. We got our NOA2 approval yesterday.

I filed on the 17th as well.

Just called them they are still on Jan 16th , he said from what he sees in his system everything is in order . They just waiting for the final decision , if there was anything questionable we would have got a letter to clarify or bring proof or something so to just be a bit patient and try back in 2 weeks at the latest

How are you still sane? I'd have driven to Vermont myself by 200 days! You are a saint with patience. :star:

I just wonder how they can claim they are still on Jan 16 when so many with later dates (as late as 2/27) have already been processed. :bonk:
