I dont know where I should post ...but a few moments ago I posted a story and my opinion on why an immigration attorney can help...IT WAS MY OPINION..PEOPLE STARTED ATTACKING ME AS IF I SAID SOMETHING OFFENSIVE.. I posted thinking it would help others..but Ive noticed that lately when when I give wanted advice or help ive been critisized harshly for just that...now my topics are locked because someone thinks it was spam or that I work for this attorney..you people need to get a life..take a look at my profile and timelime and you can see I am one of you..MY FIANCEE AND I FILED AN I129f in May!!! I think if you use a lawyer or not you shoudn't be judged for it. I think people are getting restless because I've read several post in the past couple of weeks and people have been so rude in their reply to information people provide or even statements people make. VJ has a lot of really good information and for me I love reading about everyone's experience and reading people's recommendations on services that may be available. It's up to me to call the attorney or paralegal or whoever and whatever else people advertise. I'm not sure why this is such a big deal. Yes, yes, I know it's against the rules, that's fine but getting boiled over it doesn't make sense to me but to each is own.

I thought VJ was suppose to be a supportive group not a judgemental group. We are all on the same course, trying to be reunited or permanently reunited with our love ones. As Rodney King once said, "Can't we all just get along?"

Well, sorry for the error on my part then..I can assure you in was not intentional..but they need to start paying attention to every post then, because ive seen others similar to mine..i mean geez, c'mon..if someone posts something that seems out of the ordinary then ask or tell the poster before acusing them of being something they are not. What probably happened is someone clicked the 'report' button to the side and bottom of your post/topic. It usually only takes one click to get the mods' attention. Feel free to click it for any post you feel is inappropriate, and they will review it.

I am not sure it is American's being Americans however it is true that we dont always candy coat our answers to things.. But there are so many different cultures and dialect on this board it may not have been intented to be rude and may just come across that way... Please dont give up using this site because everyone here is going thru the same thing and it is the best place to talk with someone who understands what you are going thru...

You're not the only one who has noticed the excessive rudeness lately... I don't remember so many people being this critical and negative when I first joined this site. I don't know what's going on but this site seems to be getting less and less supportive and friendly. It can make anyone hesitate to ask for help because of a fear of insults, attacks or just plain brutal negativity...

Wow! Kind of like human beings all across the globe right?

Again, generalizing Americans on an American Immigration forum isn't going to help anyone get the feedback they need or desire. And the fact of the matter is that people from all over the world are posting what may or may not be rude comments on this site.

Why is it assumed that the rude people are American? There is every flavor of humanity on these forums. What is rude to some is helpful to others? as long as I get my answer you can talk to me anyway you want. If you keep your eye on the goal what does it matter. Did we come to VJ for knowledge or friends? We have Facebook and other places for that.

Oh cmon, I grew up in Kansas from a mixed couple (just like barak!). I am as American as anyone could possibly be, but even I know that Americans are different. I learned that the second I took my first international trip. after the 5th or 6th, I was absolutely convinced. We are definitely "special". and thats cool. Im still USA till I die, even if I move to France. My fiance always teases me about my "American sense of humor". Embrace our differences. Just like you have embraced your fiancee's.

I do embrace MY differences. This has nothing to do with what I stated though. Human beings can be rude or helpful. Rudeness is not exclusive to Americans and certainly doesn't make us stand out as "special".

Not at all, actually I wasn't JUST talking about rudeness, now that I think about it, I wouldn't say we were more or less rude than anyone else (excluding things like road rage - we own that one - oh and that whole "foreign policy thing", but come on, we ARE different. Come on, I know you want to agree. I know you do, just a little.
