So i went to Walgreens to have my passport-style photos taken for AOS, and i told the lady that i need the followings:

Photo must be 2 inches by 2 inches

The height of the head (top of hair to bottom of chin) should measure 1 inch to 1 3/8 inches (25 mm - 35 mm)

Make sure the eye height is between 1 1/8 inches to 1 3/8 inches (28 mm – 35 mm) from the bottom of the photo

so i took the photos and went home, and later on i decided to measure the photos using a ruler, and then i found out that the eye height is barely 1 inch(25mm) instead of 1 1/8 or 1 3/8 , so i went back to walgreens and told the lady and she took her time and did it again and then she said now it should be ok so i took the photos and went home and then i was measuring them again to double check and ..... guess what.............. YES it's still the same, the eye height is barely 1 inch!!!!

my question is how picky is USCIS ?? are they gonna send me a RFE for that ?

Me thinks you are being a bit too nit-picky... I have used Walgreen's photos for passport pictures numerous times, with no issues.

Speaking of nit-picky.... help everyone else that makes this forum great.... :time:

YMMV....

I understand, but she said this is the first time she deals with immigration photos and that it's a little different than the standard U.S passport size... but i'm sending them in regardless and hopefully i won't get RFE, thank you for your replies :)

I use www.epassportphoto.com personally. I scanned the pic I had, used that site to fix it to the proper dimensions and I've used it for Australian passport and immigration stuff without issues. Super cheap (free) to do, and only as expensive to print as where you do it. 19c per sheet of 5 at walmart, or something like that :)

Weird. They are not different. USCIS uses standard US passport photos. You should be ok with them, but if you want to be extra sure, you can use epassportphoto.com like Vanessa&Tony mentioned. Scan in your photo, have it fix the size and print them out. OR, you can go to Walgreens, get your money back and go elsewhere. I would personally send them as is. I used passport photos from a Walgreens for a US passport and immigration and had no problems. I never bothered to measure them though. :P
