So we are about to start our K1 process but we are worried that we may be lacking with proof of an ongoing relationship. We have tons of photos together and boarding passes and so on to prove we've met etc. but to prove it's ongoing is a lot more difficult. Most days we text chat on Skype and the odd time we'll E-Mail each other. So far we've included 2 full E-Mails, a screenshot of her inbox with all the E-Mails I have sent her this month, 3 screenshots showing us on a Skype call on 3 separate occasions and current duration of said calls, with the windows clock open to show time and date of the calls and finally a print of her cell phone usage which shows the number of international texts, however it doesn't show what number they were sent to, so this could be useless.

Do you think this will be enough to prove an ongoing relationship? If not, what more can we do?

I can tell you what I have been told. But don't hold me to the fire. The more time document the better. We have the same issue, keep everthing you send to each via mail and email. Skype can be set to keep log for ever if you set it up. Photos are great and the more time you spend and proof from friends of your relationship is also needed. Keep all your trip records because they will be needed,. This is all from my lawyer friend soi trust her pretty much.... Good Luck!

You should be able to export call history from skype. That is much better than screenshots, which look incredibly staged, if you know what I mean?

Also, people can't give the best most specific advice to you based on your situation without your profile filled in? What country is she from?

This is the key information that we need. It's crucial to know the consulate (or at least the country) where the interview would eventually take place.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

She is the US citizen and I live in Dublin Ireland.

Yes I can see how they would look staged, I'll look into this.

Will an Excel file showing all the calls I have to and from her be ok? It only shows her name as I exported the call log from my Skype. It has everything else, date, time and duration.

You said you are from Dublin, so I wouldn't bother with that.

The British Embassy seems not to care much about the ongoing relationship evidence, and the things you have should be plenty with all the pictures...

I had to use separate software which I got from here: http://www.nirsoft.n...e_log_view.html

Once it had retrieved the info, I selected and copied it then created a new Excel file where I pasted the data.

Seriously though, you can cross check what I am saying with any of our Brit VJ members or you can go and read the Embassy reviews. Apparently they don't care much about the ongoing relationship evidence, only about the financial support evidence; so make sure you have all that.

The extra mile you are going to gather data is fine and it won't hurt to have it, but know that they will, most likely, disregard it completely.

Hm? Mile?

Seriously though have a look in the UK regional subforum. The British consulate doesn't want much evidence at all. The USCIS DO want proof of meeting though which is great, you've got plenty of what they need

I may be wrong but wouldn't the British and Irish consulate be different? My interview will be in the US Embassy in Dublin, Ireland, I'll have nothing to do with the UK, I am an Irish citizen.

OMG I'm so sorry. You are right.. I need to stop posting before I'm fully awake! Glad you have your flag now... anyway. Ireland seems to be the same way. You should really stop by the Regional part of the forum and have other Irish fellows, help you.

Once again, I'm sorry....Going to get in the shower to wake up headbonk.gif
