The excel sheet you made with skype call history sounds just fine, and shows continual contact that a screenshot does not.

You should have a fairly easy time at Dublin. Best of luck.

So we are about to start our K1 process but we are worried that we may be lacking with proof of an ongoing relationship. We have tons of photos together and boarding passes and so on to prove we've met etc. but to prove it's ongoing is a lot more difficult. Most days we text chat on Skype and the odd time we'll E-Mail each other. So far we've included 2 full E-Mails, a screenshot of her inbox with all the E-Mails I have sent her this month, 3 screenshots showing us on a Skype call on 3 separate occasions and current duration of said calls, with the windows clock open to show time and date of the calls and finally a print of her cell phone usage which shows the number of international texts, however it doesn't show what number they were sent to, so this could be useless.

Do you think this will be enough to prove an ongoing relationship? If not, what more can we do?

You can print off the phone bill to show the number. In addition, Skype tracks activty and you can print your account information.

This is what I know from experience. I was like you and included cell logs with SMS numbers, skype logs, pic ecc.... I got an RFE requesting additional evidence that we had meet in person. It specifically said not to send phone or email logs, also said pictures are not relevant unless they are dated from the camera itself. You should be set with copies of boarding passes, copies of passport pages with the customs stamps as well as the ID page of the passports. Any pictures you send make sure they have the digital date on the front. One more thing I sent was copies of luggage tags which showed last name and dates.

PS: going against what I just said I would still load more evidence tongue.gif since it never hurts. Just make sure the above is included on the top of the evidence pile yes.gif

Good Luck in your journey.

At this stage (with the I129) you actually don't need proof of ongoing, you'll need that at the interview :) So you have time to gather proof of ongoing, all you need to send initially is the proof you've met! Good luck :dancing:

I would just show a pattern of continuing conversation, emails, cards birthdays etc. You should be fine. You have all your other evidence, Primary is best. Hang in there we all made it, not without a few beers though.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

My fiance is from Ireland. You do not need the skype stuff for the initial petition. You need to send proof of meeting in person AND if you have visited each other several times, that IS your proof of an ongoing relationship... continued trips to see each other (with photo proof) are much more convincing than some skype chats etc.....

We sent copies of all of our passport stamps and boarding passes labeled, with photos of us together from each trip, many of them in front of well known places.

Feel free to send me a private message if you have more questions. Hope I can help you. Good luck! Mel

You are just starting the I-129F? You do not need to provide proof of an on-going relationship, only need to provide proof of having met within the past 2 years. On-going relationship proof is for the embassy phase.

Update on my status! Sorry for the delay as with my move and interview come so fast I was not caught off guard. Thanks for all the great information. They sent us a NOA on out I-130, which I was very happy to hear. And we was approved, this of course place out I-129F out the door.. Which is ok with us.. So now our file has been sent to the NVC. I was told that my husband will be contacted. So that is where we are at this time.. I have no clue what happens next.. But thanks everyone ...
