Here's a question: MY case status has stayed untouched since I got my NOA1. Would I get any more info if I call USCIS and speak with an officer? Or would they just have what I see online myself?

It will make no difference, you can look at my signature and see how it goes, from the 30th of Nov. until the 24th of April (NOA2 date), no one touched it.

Alex, I suggest you complete your VJ Timeline so you'll be able to see an estimated date on which your petition could be approved. At this time, there's nothing else you can do but wait.

There is nothing wrong with your case, there is nothing calling USCIS can do and touches don't mean anything

It has been more than 30 days and you have not received a receipt

If you contacted the National Customer Service Center with a case-related inquiry and more than 30 days have passed and you have not received a response, you may email the appropriate USCIS Service Center with your inquiry:

If the current processing time is "5 months", it doesn't seem that it would do any good to call them. Wait another month (30 days). If you haven't received at least an e-notification within the next 30 days assuming you opted for this, then making contact with them might help.

See that link under you name when you post that says "timeline"? That is one way to get there. You can click on your user name in the top right of the screen as well. It will give you a list of options. One of those options is "My Timeline (Add/Edit)". That is another way. The signature is helpful, but filling in your timeline can actually give you estimates and put you into the VJ database.
