Hi guys, just thought I'd let you know WE GOT OUR APPROVAL TODAY!!!!!!!

I'm still not sure if it was my Senator or Congressman, but I will say it was approved just a few business days after I contacted them for help (5 business days from when they called me to let me know they were sending over the inquiry)and the last time the USCIS touched my file was in early February. Don't delay ask for help!

Good luck to you all still waiting. RandyN, I hope you get everything situated. How is the progress coming on your medicals?

As far as the medical goes, since the RFE stated that they lost the medical, we went back to our Congressman and asked them to ask the CSC and the State Department if they could find it. We got a response back that we had to do the medical, so we booked that. Not happy, but not much more we can do...

Gosh that's horrible! I'm assuming you were able to prove your Citizenship, haha. I sure hope they expedite you once you get that RFE back to them since they screwed up and lost your medicals.

Since we supplied the other info that they lost, we have copies of those. The sealed medical was kept sealed. I think that they should supply two sealed copies so if one is lost, there is a fallback. This was definitely a bump in the road that we didn't see coming...

I agree! I hope you hear something soon. I'm sure you're getting anxious. I know I was terrified about sending that silly envelope in and then felt silly that I was worried a government agency would misplace things. Apparently it's happened before. I saw a few threads mentioning the same thing.

You know, I guess I'm confused on why they need the medicals again on a K-1 AOS, considering the beneficiary obviously had to pass it in order to enter the country, right? I think sometimes they do process just to do process. Sometimes you should consider the case and use your judgement, such as when you lose someone's medicals then demand they retake them because your process clearly states you need it. :bonk:

Yeah, I think they just need to be able to check off every item. We'll see how long it takes after we send the new medical.

I just got off the phone with them. Not much of a conversation with a Tier 2 officer. Said goodbye before I can ask her another question. She must be tired of answering the same questions. :(

Wasn't even able to get her badge number (to reference to her) nor a service request number. She just told me that my case in still in review. She has also alerted CSC and within 10-12 days hear from them via mail.

I was hoping to have these questions answered: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/293330-calling-uscis/

She seems to be in a hurry. Well, us too!

They sure are good at the waiting game. I wonder if they do this to really test your relationship. Like some kind of sick psychological experiment to see if your love can conquer through the stress? I think the only course of action if you're over your timeframe is to ask for help. Calling the toll-free number seems to only get you an auto-letter stating "we're sorry we're slow but we appreciate your business".
