Big Tex Nursery is having yet another sale, roses are $10 and citrus in 5-gallon pots are $19.99, so the family will be well-fed. rofl.gif

No buds here yet Tex. The leaves are just starting to grow a bit better and are still the light shade of green. Probably no buds for another month and a half.

Time to graft, if you've got the scion wood nicely stored in the cooler.

The tulips are blooming here. Rainfall is about 6 inches below average already. And the roses are budding.

Had a massive flood last August with Hurricane Irene. Our area broke the previous flood level in 1903 by over 1 foot. It has been estimated that no such flooding has happend in 500 years in my area. The garden and lawn is in shambles. Today I hired a crew to level out the lawn and planted grass seeds. The rose bushes in the front of the yard ware sturdy even though the bushes were under water for about 5 days. They are starting to bud. The tulips are not as good as last year.

Apparently going to need 3 more rose bushes. As for anymore citrus I will wait until I buy the next house this year and plant next year a couple.

Looks like I will be no longer an OTR truck driver. Going to be weird driving local and being home with the babe a lot.

At least we're hitting 60 today, but windy. The wife's petunias are ready to transpant, they've been indoors under lights for the past month and have a few sets of leaves. I've never seen seeds that small before. You need a magnifying glass to see them! It wss 10 seeds for $4-some kind of spreading hybrid variety. At least when the warm weather comes I can tend to my crabgrass and weeds. I'm good at growing them.
