You should have her eat a half of dozen Rocky Mountain Oysters.

In case you don't know what they are, Rocky Mountain Oysters are Bull balls. You can dip them in batter and fry them.

As for me never ever plan to eat a Balot! If Andrew Zimmern will eat it then i know it's not for me, Hehehehehehe. I'm from Texas as well and I'd rather eat Bull Balls than a Balot. Anyways good luck on your bet hope ours will be soon also.

Even though we are far from each other right now I know you are close to me in other ways, you are always here in my heart. You give me reason to look forward to each day,You are my life and a dream come true.there are no words to express how i feel for you.You are the light in my darkness. There could never be words strong enough to express my love for you but I'm going to show it to you everyday as long as i live.I love you with my body, soul and mind.I love you very much baby.Mwaaaaaaaaah!

Your Wife to be,

Aijeen

Yeah, I tried a balut once at the urging of some of my pinoy friends. I did it, but they didn't have enough San Miguel to wash it down with, i.e., a couple of liters...........

Speaking of peppers, consider opting for a habanero or a ghost pepper..... :wow:

I guess I'm both!!!! I'll gladly eat the balut if it gets her here sooner.

Balut is easy to eat. You just have to have the technique down. Don't look at what your eating, just do it. Crack open a small part on the tip without the beat, pour in the vinegar/hot sauce mic, add a little salt and suck out the juices. Next peel off the shell and put the whole baby duckling in your mouth without eating the beak and start chewing. Tastes like chicken and isn't bad. Drink you a Red Horse, San Miguel or soda and move onto the next Balut. Masarap!!! or as they say in DUmaguete which is the Visayas, Lami!!! I am an American Kano and love to eat them now with my fiancee and her family when I visit. I will be eating Balut in 12 days :)

I plan to live my entire life without ever having the "pleasure" of tasting balot.

Amen! This forum has spawned a whole conversation about balut between my fiance and I including the watching of youtube videos on the subject. I love my Filipino and I love the Philippines but, sorry, I just can't go there.

I went 5 years married to a filipina and was able to avoid eating it. If I can make it five years, I'm sure I can make it another 50 without partaking...
