Consulate Review: Qatar
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 27, 2013
Embassy Review : Let me preface this by saying that although I used the Doha Consulate in Qatar. I am a Filipino citizen. I was living and working in Qatar at the time my K-1 Fiance Visa was being processed.

The consulate officer looked over my paperwork. They asked basic questions about me, how long I had been in Qatar, my profession, etc. They asked basic questions about our relationship, how we met, how we spend time together, what we do online, etc. They asked basic information about my fiancee, where she works, what she does, what she likes, etc. Then they asked about my children as they were included on my visa application. They asked if my kids were traveling with me. They were looking for the childrens birth certificates and authorization from their biological mother for them to travel. Once they discovered that my children were not traveling with me as they are in the Philippines and I was in Qatar, they collected my paperwork. They told me to return two days later to retrieve my paperwork. When I returned two days later my passport with visa and sealed paperwork were ready for pickup.
