Hi All

I am getting so frustrated with all the waiting!! I know it will all be worthwhile in the end but at the moment it feels hopeless! We submitted our package and recieved our NOA1 on 12 Oct 2011. I have just checked and the last time the case was touched was 14 Oct 2011!!! According to all timelines etc we should be hearing about our case anytime soon but does the fact that it hasnt been touched since 10/14/2011 mean it will be delayed??? I am feeling so despondent at the moment and just want to be with my man ASAP!!!

:( We all know the feeling.

You have to be patient it is sadly the only solution to your problem right now.

Deep breaths and memories of your man are the only things than can help:(

I waited 7 long long long months straight in order to hear any good news from them.

Look at my timeline:( and my petition was never even "touched" so I had no hope or reassurance than anyone was even looking at my petition...

Stay strong...this journey is worth the wait i know it !!

It is hard waiting, but you are still below the 5 month mark, and it can take longer than 5 months sometimes. Touches mean nothing, so do not worry that you have not seen a "touch" on your case yet. A "touch" could simply mean they moved your file, not that it was being worked on. Most cases wait in a stack until they are adjudicated. If it goes past normal processing times for your service center, you can always call and put in a service request.

You're in the normal zone. I'm going into my 6th month without a touch. You usually don't get touched until you are approved or denied or sent an RFE so that part is normal. You just have to wait...as do we all. It's sooooo hard!

Hi,

I'm so happy for you ... you got your NOA2 in only 2 days after sending the RFE? This is awesome! I hope I hear from them soon! Do you have any idea how long does it take usually to be approved after sending the RFE? They haven't update our status in the USCIS website though!

Hi there! I understand your feelings, it's normal. For now, just pray and relax. Enjoy what you are doing now, once your partner will be with you, I guess you won't have time for yourself anymore. I'm sure you will hear from USCIS soon. Have more patience and everything will come to an end -- do enjoy this journey despite of long wait. Take care and God bless you.:)

There are cases from July and August 2011 that have yet to be approved -- imagine how they must feel.

Find something to focus on and relax, feeling despondent will make the time drag on. The only thing the government does "ASAP" is separate people from their money -- through taxes and fees.

Don't be surprised when you get the NOA2 tomorrow. That is what happened to us and we were pleasantly caught totally off-guard. USCIS works in very mysterious ways!!!
