K1 frustrations

Hi All

I am getting so frustrated with all the waiting!! I know it will all be worthwhile in the end but at the moment it feels hopeless! We submitted our package and recieved our NOA1 on 12 Oct 2011. I have just checked and the last time the case was touched was 14 Oct 2011!!! According to all timelines etc we should be hearing about our case anytime soon but does the fact that it hasnt been touched since 10/14/2011 mean it will be delayed??? I am feeling so despondent at the moment and just want to be with my man ASAP!!!

Yes I also understand the waiting. Our NOA1 was on 10-17-2011. The last touch was 10-19-2011 until 3-2-2012 and then an RFE. :wacko:

I'm so happy for you ... you got your NOA2 in only 2 days after sending the RFE? This is awesome! I hope I hear from them soon! Do you have any idea how long does it take usually to be approved after sending the RFE? They haven't update our status in the USCIS website though!

It all depends on the case. Sometimes they won't update it on the website but have actually been reviewing it since you sent it in. In a few days you can try calling them to ask if they have even recieved your RFE response yet. Then, after a week or two call and ask if they have reviewed it.

There are cases from July and August 2011 that have yet to be approved -- imagine how they must feel.

Find something to focus on and relax, feeling despondent will make the time drag on. The only thing the government does "ASAP" is separate people from their money -- through taxes and fees.

I know this doesn't help but I am on a Family Based Immigration (Married child over 21 of US Citizen) since my journey started in 1985 I have Aged out once, had to reapply in 2004, my family and only brother left, became citizens, upgraded my petition for faster processing, met the SOUTH AFRICAN man of my dreams, got married had to downgrade and now living month to month on the visa bulletin. Count yourself luckier than most :-)
