Most people will advise you to never make plans until you have your visa in your hands. No one knows what can happen. I assume since September you have only received your NOA1 ?

I know everybody always say not to make plans, and I cant give you any guarantees either, but Aaron and I planned our wedding even before applying for the K1. We booked everything when I was there last summer and sent in the petition after. We are getting maaried on June 9th. We agreed that if we didnt get the NOA2 before the end of february, we would postphone the wedding, but we got it friday :) I guess it also depends on the speed of the embassy that your case goes to. I know Stockholm, where ours is going, is pretty fast so I still believe it's possible. I honestly dont think you will be in the US within the next 2 months, however, a wedding in June could still be realistic!

Next two months? No probably not... Looks like K-1s are at about mid august so you probably have another 3-6 weeks before NOA2 though it could have been yesterday and it could be more than six weeks out.. But even if you assume 3 weeks.. Looking at the K-1 NOA2 to interview times for the UK the average is an additional 2-3 months... So assuming you don't have your NOA2 now I would guess three months to your interview date... Though it could be up to a month earlier and of course months later. Picking a 90 day hole in the calendar with this process is a big risk.. Based on recent averages and your filing date you are slightly more likely to get through the process too early (have the 90 days done before July 20) than you are too late.. Of course that is easy to fix, just hang around the UK for an extra month to get July 20 firmly in the 90 day hole.

I am confused...you want to be in the usa in 2 months but the ceremony isn't for 6 more months?

You have an 85% chance of getting to usa by July... that is a guess.

You have only a 30% chance of getting to usa in 2 months...another guess.

Every case is different. Never make solid plans until visa in hands

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

for London you are looking at about 2 - 3 month from NOA2 to interview. a july wedding is possible and while making plans is ok... setting dates is never a good idea

Hi there!

From filing the I-129F to getting the interview at the London Embassy it took us from late April - Mid December so about 8-9 months for the total process, after the NOA2 things start moving ALOT faster though!

Hard to say, I would suggest avoiding making any "hard" commitments, until you have the visa in your hand!

I have looked around in reference to what I would like for our wedding, colors, dresses, location, but have def not picked a date because honestly like most have said anything can happen and considering that we want a church wedding it may not be safe to set a date aside and then if he isnt here then I lose that date. I would reccommend looking at wedding decorations, invitations and etc. Things that will help you to know what you want so that the process in planning is easier but dont set a date til he is here!! ;-) Play it safe.

Have fun figuring it out, making general plans so you are ready to go, don't do any deposits etc. We had a general idea and as soon as their was a VISA in hand, we firmed them up. Looks like K1 has slowed down, that means some other visa type has sped up.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
