I filed the i29f fiance visa and sent it in on october 7 and recieved a letter and an email back that it was recieved and it is in initial review. It is now january 10 a little more than 3 months since then and I havent recieved anything else and It is still at initial rievew on the uscis website. Im starting to get a little worried. Is there something I should have done that I havent or was there something I was suppose to recieve in this period of time. I really dont want to mess this up my fiance is really all I have in this world and we truely need eachother and need to be with eachother. I need a little help or guidence. What should I do. Should I call them? If so which office would I call or service center. Im completely lost here. Please help me. Thank you for your time.

RELAX!!

There are people that filed in JULY that are STILL waiting !

You can go here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/

Look at the timeframes for 129F. Since your's has gone to the Vermont Service Center, the date next to VSC should apply. This is an approximate date based on other member's timelines of when the Service Center will process your petition. At present you still have another month to wait.

Sit back and relax....you still have some time to go before your petition gets to the next step. While you are waiting, consider becoming acquainted with the site and the wealth of information available. BTW, the visa timeline estimates on this site are derived from forum members timelines.

:time:

Good luck!

Normal wait times are 5 months, give or take. I waited 4 months and a couple of days; I was lucky. In the meantime, start gathering ALL the proof you need for your beneficiary's interview. Egypt is a haaaaard embassy due to being a high fraud country. Concentrate in being proactive. Do not worry, everything will be ok.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Try not to worry. I know it is hard. I still remember the pain everyday. I did not have to wait that long and it about killed me! I am so impatient.

I want you to know that members are able to answer peoples questions because we base our information on the timelines people fill out.

Your timeline does not have to be exact. it can be off a couple days.

So in order to help others we need people to edit their timeline through their profile. That will be your way of helping others that try to help yo.

Good Luck in your process.

I suppose it's tough when one sees some others (not a lot) get to the next step within a few months at the same service center as you and you're left wondering what you did wrong? Why a few(lucky?) get passed on to the next phase. For example:

A couple with partner from Haiti got NOA1 and NOA2 within same month

Or couple with partner from Philippines have NOA1 in Oct and NOA2 come in Nov.

Or a few couples with partner from Japan having achieved NOA2 within almost 2 months (a few days greater than)

Great for them, and happiness goes out to them, but doesn't seem to bode well for any rhythm or reason.

So, ya.. I feel your pain and unfortunately most of us are in the same boat of unknown.

Is our file being looked at? Has it been lost? Is there a problem that's holding something up? Can we do something to help?

Can't I pay some extra money to help expedite the process?

All the while drilling home the fact that we can't easily be with our loved on.

Yeah, I know. It's tough....

I-129F/K-1

4/2007 - Met

4/2007 - 8/2011 Dated

10/5/2011 - Sent I-129F

10/7/2011 - I-129F received

10/14/2011 - Received Official USCIS Acceptance Confirmation (Email)

10/17/2011 - Payment Processed

10/21/2011 - I-797C NOA Received

I am from the Philippines and my fiance is a naturalized US citizen and born in the Philippines too but as you can see we waited almost 7 months for our NOA2 even without RFE.So it really depends.Either you're lucky enough to be assigned to an adjudicator that works fast or unlucky enough like me and my fiance. My fiance resorted to asking for congressional help and thankfully that helped and they worked on our papers after that.Well good to say everything is fast track for us now. A month ago we were so worried about our papers but now, we are over the moon for I am approved and leaving soon.   .Just be patient. Many of the vjer's here that I know are still waiting past 8 months already.Be strong and Goodluck on the rest of your journey.

If you don't get a RFE, you should be hearing something in a month or two. I got an RFE for initial evidence. Somehow, I missed answering a question and I'm still waiting. As everyone else is saying, don't panic yet, and your NOA2 will be here before you know it
