I'm trying to gather all the costs of this whole party...Am I missing something?

1. I-129f petitition, $340

2. Medical exam, not exactely sure, but have seen somebody write $600. (Anybody know the fee for the medical in Norway?)

3. Immunization, don't know

4. Interview/visa, how I read it I will have to pay about $400 dollars for the visa at the embassy.(Probably something for the child too..)

5. AOS for me, $1070

6. AOS for child, $635

7. Employment Authorization,$ 380

Total: 3425+immunization

And to add things up, the American Embassy in Oslo doesn't handle immigration visas anymore so we will have to travel to Stockholm, Sweden (transportation and hotel) for the interview....

So, I hope I'm not missing something:)I just don't want to be facing costs we didn't think about.

YMMV

Aint that the truth (moving / travel costs to be considered).

Our medicals have run about $150 each (2 different countries)

The corrected numbers look pretty close. Missing immunizations were $20-$25 a pop (I think varicella and MMR were missing in our case but it was awhile back).

Usually from europe the immunization requirements are equivalent?

Dont forget the cost of the wedding!!! Highest of all (LOL)

Ditto the honeymoon!!!!

Good luck!

I think if you trying to find out cost from A-Z

Then airline, wedding, cost of living until fiance(e) get adopted and finds job/school the total price will be super big.

I just check how much airline cost and found out the price is 2 times more thanks to Obama for increasing the fee.

I guess my cost might be about 5 000 - 10 000$

I did not complete all the process but roughly was told how much wedding and other expenses might be. I hope that it will not cost more than that.

If you wanna throw in also visit(s) to fiance(e) the total price go even more.

Forgot to mention that my fiancee afraid to take immunization in her country as there might be fake or dirty needles that they could give her some infection/virus or other similar stuff.

She told me that recently a lot of kids got infected with HIV

That is just horrible that people have to worry about that! Or even that it happend! Unfortunately thats how it is many places in the world.I can understand she is reluctant to do it! What happens if she don't? Can she do it when she comes to the US?

For a K-1 visa, you don't have to receive any vaccinations, because it is a non-immigrant visa, but you will need those in order to adjust status. Since the vaccinations, when available, are included in the price of the medical (at least in the Philippines they were), then economically it makes sense to get them in the home country. The medical facility used by for the predeparture examination is certified by the US.

In the letter from the US embassy in Stockholm they say that the fee is 2450 SEK for each visa applicant and that you have to pay for any extra expenses if using a non-Swedish bank. A minor expense noted in the letter is stamps in a value of 295 SEK for residents of Norway and Denmark. I did my medical in Sweden and I had to pay almost 3000 SEK (I had to get a tetanus shot but that was all). Just some more embassy specific numbers, I don't think it will change your prediction much :)

"Medical is 2850 NOK for adults and 600 NOK for children under 15. There are separate fees for the chest X-ray and drawing

blood for the serological tests, which are paid directly to the laboratories that do the work. These

prices may be higher for non-residents of Norway. There are additional fees for vaccinations if you

are required to have them; these vary depending on the particular vaccination(s) required. " - from http://travel.state.gov/pdf/medical/OSL-MED-MULT-0001-1003.pdf

I'd however advise you to call the listed doctors and ask about the current prices. They're listed in that link.
