I have not gone to the U.s Concilet to find out. I was told they will take it if this is true.

I have very limited knowledge on this, only that it is being done. I would contact an attorney considering it sounds like there may be a judgement against you.

However, this is what I could find online on the matter:

Passport revocation may be effected when the person obtained the passport fraudulently, when the passport was issued in error, when the person’s certificate of naturalization was cancelled by a federal court, or when the person would not be entitled to a new passport under 22 CFR 51.70 (a) or (b). The physical revocation of a passport is often difficult, and an apparently valid passport can be used for travel until officially taken by an arresting officer or by a court.

Your passport will be taken at passport control, in or out of the USA, and you will be held in detention for the next round of deportation hearings.

Good Luck !

If you are currently in a foreign country I don't think they can take your passport, otherwise how would you return home? I tried to find a link for you but all I can find speaks of applying for a passport.... here.

Maybe this will help...link here.. "The physical revocation of a passport is often difficult, and an apparently valid passport can be used for travel until officially taken by an arresting officer or by a court."

I know this is not much help but you really need to get the back child support taken care of. If you plan on bringing your wife to the US it may play a part in her obtaining a visa.

They can flag your passport; and seize it coming through immigration.

Why not just pay the child support and sort this out?

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

it will be seized at any USA POE whether you are coming in or going out.

IF the State Department is aware (or becomes aware) of any judgement made against you by a court and that your passport was ordered seized as a consequence of said judgement, then they can flag your passport as not valid for travel. If you were to try to enter another country and border control personnel saw your passport had been flagged as not valid for travel, you would not be allowed into the other country (and likely deported back to the US).

As others have said, if you were to go through a US POE, CBP would see the flag and seize your passport then and there.

Your question was answered on the other 2 threads you started today on the same subject.

If you have a court order against you for non payment of child support and you are currently outside of the US- then upon re entry to the US, you will most likely be detained and your passport seized until you sort out the court ordered child support you owe.

The consulate abroad CAN take measures to return you to the US, where the above will happen.....especially if you have been found in contempt of a court order and there is a warrant out for you.

As for immigration for your new wife. You have to file for the appropriate visa for her and she will then interview at the consulate abroad.

Again- when you are petitioning for her visa application, the form will ask you if you have any outstanding charges against you. Don't lie on that form.

Seriously. Just pay the child support.

FYI - As soon as you file taxes, which even though you are working abroad, you still have to. The IRS will seize any refund in lieu of CS....After that the judgement against you will likely follow you to where ever you are- as alot of countrys have reciprical laws with the USA in matters of liability for child support.

This is correct. You need to find out if what your es told you is true. I doubt it. They would not tell HER if your passport is revoked. Small minded people find out these things and use them as blackmail to get what they want. The US Dept of State does not tell other people your passport has been revoked. There should be a way you can find out without going to a consulate. If you go to the consulate and it has been revoked you will be escorted home to work things out.

Take financial responsibility for your children, and you won't have a problem!
