I received NOA1 dated 8/7/06. Today I received an email from CSC stating my case has been approved on 9/20/06! That's amazing!!

All I can say about the fast approval is a little bit of luck and a lot of solid no BS information from http://www.apexvisa.us/

I am not advertising or trying to sell apexvisa services here. If you think you may benefit from them check it out yourself, otherwise mind your own business.

Good luck to all of us going thru' the K-1 process!

Awesome!

Does that website / visa service have anything you can't find here?

This forum is a good place for people to exchange ideas and experiences. You sometimes get different answers for a particular question/situation. None of us here is an expert because 99% of us only apply for the K1 once in our lifetime (hopefully), therefore a specific situation that applies to me does necessary mean it will work for you.

The Apexvisa service I mentioned provides step-by-step instructions on how to complete the required forms field-by-field as well as what specific proof of relationship evidence to provide. You (the petition) will have to do ALL the work! The instructions provided by Apexvisa services simply layout exactly what you need to do and how to do it - no guess work, no mistake, no time wasted. If you think you can do it alone or obtain "suggestions" from various forum members and try to piece it together, more power to you. I've been thru several USCIS petitions (for other stuff) and know that it is like walking on a mine-field in HELL! For the K-1 VISA petition, I couldn't do it myself and after some research online I found Apexvisa services.

I understand the frustrations of many forum members who are still waiting in line...I wish everyone here will get record time approvals. No one should have to endure the pain of being apart from your love ones. Perhaps some day USCIS will become efficient...well maybe never but hope is a good thing.

I used APEX too and loved them. When they send you the stuff explaining the visa process and how everything works in detail, you see how much time you'll be saving. It's great to read questions here and think to yourself that you never had to ask that because you knew it from the start.

I still ask stuff here but that just me being 100% careful :P

Anyway.... I'm happy you got that NOA2

OUR COMPLETE TIMELINE

Latest steps:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

Wow, I was looking through that website, they charge a lot of money for everything that is on this site for free. Just read the guides and the FAQ on VJ and you'll find everything here that they are going to charge you $495 (or more!) for.

And I can't help but be skeptical of a website that has products like this:

Fiance Meeting Service $195.00

If you're going to meet your fiancé, but not certain you will be going through with a marriage, then this is the service you could use. No point in spending for the Full Fiancé Service if you're not sure you will need it. However, if you're determined to marry a foreign person, you should read about the next two items down - it may make more sense to you. With this service, you can document meeting more than one person. It may also be used for meeting other persons on other trips. We do not put a limit on it. We're not that greedy. Do you know of any lawyers who do this besides us???

But hey, whatever bakes your cookie.

Congrats on the NOA2!!! :)
