Just called NVC and the lady said, they just received our case :) and we got our new case number too :)

I remember reading that the new case number means something...Is this true??

I found out what the numbers mean and what to do with it :) how cool!

K-1: NOA1 2011-8-10; NOA2 2012-1-12; Interview 2012-4-24; Visa issued 2012-9-17; POE (Sarnia) 2012-9-26; Wedding! 2012-10-02
AOS: NOA1 2012-11-20; Biometrics 2012-12-14; AP/EAD approved 2013-1-11; Interview 2013-1-31; 2-yr Green cards in hand 2013-2-9 (101 days total)

ROC: NOA1 11-7-14; Biometrics 12-1-14; 10-yr Green cards ordered 4-13-15! (157 days total)

Counting down to naturalization time!

Hi everyone!

This is my first post on VJ. Nice to see many of you receiving your NOA2's... Good news!

My question is this: How many of you August filers are still waiting for approval from VSC? I'm seeing more and more people from September being approved each and every day, and this is quite frustrating. I don't mind waiting like everyone else, but if I have to wait, everyone should have to wait. I understand that some people will get approved before others, but it's getting a little rediculous seeing the floodgates open for September files. Again, I'm speaking about VSC specifically.

Here's to a happy and joyous 2012!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I look at Igor's list numbers every day, however I'm sure the numbers are higher since some don't keep up with the timelines, which also dictate that September's numbers are probably also higher than the stated 50%.

Yeah, good point, looks like each month there's 10% (at least) of members that don't return to VJ and so don't update their timeline anymore. Hope you'll receive it soon, it's frustrating to see people who filed after you being approved, but we don't have any other choice than waiting...

A little late but WooHoo! Finally my NOA2 was approved on Jan 12th! Now how long do I wait before calling the NVC?

AOS From K-1 Visa (POE 4/6/12)

Day 1 (4/24/12): Sent I-131, I-765, I-485 via FedEx to Chigago

Day 3 (4/26/12): Delivered

Day 7 (4/30/12): 3 Texts/Emails Received with April 26th NOA1 Date

Day 8 (5/01/12): Check Cashed

Day 12(5/05/12): Biometrics Appt. Letter received (for 5/25/12)

Day 31(5/24/12): Successful Walk-in Biometrics

Day 73(7/04/12): Email notification of EAD/AP approval

Day 78(7/09/12): 2nd Email notification of EAD/AP approval

Day 79(7/10/12): Notification EAD/AP has been mailed and Notification EAD/AP Picked up by USPS

Day 81(7/12/12): EAD/AP card arrives!

Day 88(7/19/12): Interview for AOS: Approved!

Day 96(7/27/12): Green Card in Hand!!

I would give at least 9 days to call or email them about your case status. I called first and a guy said my case was "processing" so I then emailed them, and a couple days later, I got an email saying my case had finished processing at the NVC and was directed to HCM Embassy.

Adjustment of Status Journey

July 05, 2012: Sent package off to Chicago

July 13, 2012: NOA received via email & text

July 16, 2012: Checked cashed

July 19, 2012: Received hard copy Form I-797C in the mail

July 21, 2012: Biometrics letter arrived by mail

July 31, 2012: AOS trransferred to CSC

Aug. 07, 2012: Biometrics completed

I wish my fiance would return packet 3 already! He's had it for a while now :bonk:

also, I suggest to everyone to start gathering stuff for the I-134 ahead of time. I'm an idiot and procrastinated- thought it'd be super easy... and then I find out I don't have copies of my tax returns and my employer refuses to write a letter. :ranting:
