I feel sorry for you, make sure you report him to immigration so he would be flagged as a fraud and he would not be able to take advantage of any other unsuspecting woman.

Most of the time there are couple of us on here including me always try to warn ppl, before you start the immigration process for anyone get to know them better.

Unfortunately most ppl on this forum think we are ruthless and bad and we don’t care for the ppl who are in love.

How did you meet, did you not go and visit him in Netherlands?

I am so sorry Nina :/

Do all the administrative stuff to cut him lose and hang in there.

I am sure your little daughter will understand when the time comes to explain.

You might want to look into making sure he has no parental rights also, for her sake and yours.

I hope I dont endure what you just went through. My petition was sent back for review cos they suspect us of fraud but now I see why they do that. It's to protect people like us Americans who are blinded by love. I haven't seen any siigns yet though and wanted me to get pregnant the last time I visited but I refused. Pray for me that I dont go through that. I will remember you in my prayers.

Wow, I remember you and how outraged you were that he was homeless in Belgium or something? Gosh, that's horrible. There's a special place in hell for people like this.

File for divorce. And pull your I-864. Contact the Embassy immediately.

Good luck and hang in there. Take care of yourself and your baby.

I am confused, how people with any type of criminal past even gets approved through the first stages of the application process, when in the Initial Stage background checks are supposed to be done.

Wow I'm embarrassed to hear that he is Belgian. But a lot of the things that you mentioned he did or said, make no sense.

Any Belgian citizen can move ANYWHERE in the EU without having to do paperwork (besides address change). Also it's really impossible to be homeless if you are a Belgian citizen, unless you want to be. There is so much financial help available. I also don't see why he would use someone to move to the US. Belgium has a much better healthcare and social system. If he can't survive in Belgium, he could possibly not survive in the US.

If you have other questions I can help. I'm really sorry you went through all of this.

So sorry to hear of your plight. You can report him to Immigration. There is a hotline for this just research on it. I have a good friend who reported her Ja'can husband for fraud and the investigation is underway. He was GAY the whole time and married her (while she was deeply in love) for his papers.

Unfortunately, the one that is TRULY MARRIED AND REAL AND IN LOVE often do not see the signs. Again, the signs were there but failure to recognize can cause evident harm.

I advise you to let Immigration know immediately. Take care of your baby best way one knows how. People makes mistakes and we learn from them.

With this kind of case, it makes the Immigration SO HARD to believe those who are truly in love, married, been together for a long time and those whose marriages are really and truly real- to get their status expeditiously.

Again, I am sorry to hear. Life goes on nonetheless.

PS. De man want a kick inna him head. HURTFUL! :ot:

Be Blessed.

K.. he said that without an address he cant get work.. I want to remind you that he is Belgium.. cause he was born there.. until he was a 1yr old. Has lived in the Netherlands since.. He says that he cant' get his social money cause he was out of the country to long.. ( over 6 months) He says that he can't open a bank account cause.. he brought some insurance that if he lost his job that it would cover it? But when he lost his job.. they didn't so now he owes 25.000 euros to a Bank there.. He wont tell me what bank... so he can't put a home in his name or get work or open a bank account.. something about that doesnt add up to me.

OMG! Yes, I remember that thread...

The thing that struck me the most was how he seemed to instantly have an explanation for every single thing that happened, it just felt to convenient like a slick con-man. IIRC a lot of VJers were telling you to step back and think about it as someone looking in from the outside. You were just too deep into the situation to see things that weren't adding up to everyone else.

Well I'm glad the process works as it has brought a lot of his behaviors to light BEFORE him getting LPR status and being tied to you financially.

When he asks you to forgive him just explain that ever since the volcano eruption you've been unable to recover and therefore can't deal with him anymore!

I wish you only the best and hope you find the strength to get through this and the serenity to find calm as you move on.

I feel so bad for you. But what this man does it not just a scam, it is fraud. YOu need to report this to the embassy and to immigration so they can black flag him. Belgium has been part of NATO since 1949. black flagging as con artist as he fraudialent has taken money from women promising things when he is married to you, will put out warning to all 28 NATO countries. I called today to a friend who is with Homeland Security and he told me this. So, don't be afraid to say this man has conned you and others. And keep all the proof you found for your divorce.

HI Shanh,

Nice to see you.. I talked to the Immigration consulate today.. She wants me to send a formal request to revoke the I-130 I told her the whole story. Matter of fact I read to her the original post on here.. She said she was sorry.. and she can't tell me what to do. But that she did say that if i truly want to close the case that I would have to revoke the I-130 and inform the National Vise Center for them to pull the file back.

I am so beside myself.. and she did want me to gather the information that I have and turn it in.

I hope I dont endure what you just went through. My petition was sent back for review cos they suspect us of fraud but now I see why they do that. I will for sure.. keep you in my thoughts and prayers.. I will send a friend.. smiles

I have tons.. but I do know one thing for sure.. that I do have a translated letter from Belgium that they were not going to help him with any assistance.. cause at the age of 1 yr old.. his parents moved to the Netherlands.. and since all of his benefits were paid into the Netherlands.. Belgium told him that he would have to get help from them .. then of course.. Netherlands.. said we don't care .. your Belgium. Trust me at this point I wouldn't believe a thing.. but I do have that in Writing and translated. .. He had no one that he could write in his address too.. that was the address issue

Your right.. I remember everything you said.. that it was all #######. That things did't make sense.. and all i did was defend. Really though.. how stupid can he be to have someone like anyone of us.. fighting so hard.. and not see what a good thing is. All i can say.. is the pain is setting in.. but the strength is growing. The volcano.. for him was the perfect excuse.. and I brought it.. cause I never saw the ticket. Until of course.. ICE needed it.. to put his but back on a plane.

Cause I have been living breathing this.. and immigration.. before I hang him out.. I need to take a breath. Cause I do love him.. and still love him. Im bitter yes.. and would love to.. uhmm well.. I could think of alot of mean things. But I want to put this behind me, and cry.. and be mad.. and lick my wounds. Then it will be time to do the right thing.. so yes he can't do it again. I would never wish this pain on anyone. Yes divorce is next..
