CR-1 visa - NVC just sent me a CHECKLIST COVER LETTER falsely claiming that they need the marriage certificate, birth certificate, police clearance certificate, and applicant photos - all of which was already sent to NVC in the very same envelope as the I-864 and DS-230. :bonk: I emailed them a complete explanation that they already have all these original documents, along with electronic copies of each of the original documents they already have (with filenames indicating which document corresponds to which item). For the Thai-language original documents, I also emailed them certified English translations (which according to NVC's own DS-230 instructions I am not required to provide them with since the original documents are in the language of the country for which the visa is being requested).

Hey there.. I was also approved on 6/20 - your 15 days are up today! Call them and if they don't have your paperwork yet ask them what the next steps are (which will be scanning your approval notice and emailing it too them).

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

DOS right now wouldn't help you. Calling them is only useful after your case is complete and you can call them to see if an interview date has been assigned, as well as calling NVC. And after your interview, if you want to know any updates on your case, then DOS would be the one to call as well.
