Congrats to all of you that were approved :dance::dance::dance::dance:

There is no set timeline when NVC receives or assignes a case number

Approvals from CSC seem to take longer to be received by NVC but even VSC approvals are in the backlog and is taking forever to get a case #.Our file was received by NVC on August 1st and still no case numberas of today.

Hang in there the rest of you May filers the good news might be around the corner

Wish you all good luck

Has nothing to do with the country of origin of the beneficiary. On the igors list you can filter members by country and you can get an idea as to how the country of origin affects the application. There is no way of telling why some people get aproved in 45 days when some others take 6-7 months and sometimes even longer.

Background check at the USCIS level is a 30 sec thing. They run the petitioners info and a light name check for the beneficiary.NVC is the one that goes into depth on the background check. That is why they ask for the beneficiaries police certificates.

Hang in there. This is a nerve wrecking process but once you get that NOA2 all this stress will be a thing of the past.

good luck
