Thanks again..i got an email notice today from USCIS saying my I130/485 were sent to MSC..anyone who got their I130/I485 sent to MSC ? and MSC numbers sent by them through email aren't working on checkmycasestatus on USCIS..

I sent both I130/I485 petitions as mentioned in I130 instructions

131 South Dearborn-3rd floor

Chicago,IL 60603-5517

I can see MSC doesn't process I130 petitions at all , wondering whats going on

Where did it say it was sent to MSC? Are you referring to the numbers starting with MSC?? That's normal.

Yes..its starting with MSC , though with the receipt number given i couldn't track this on USCIS website

Thanks

"MSC" is the Missouri Service Center, also known as the National Benefits Center. NBC coordinates the routing of AOS petitions, so all petitions related to AOS will get an MSC case number. They don't actually adjudicate the petitions at MSC/NBC. They just figure out which service center the petition will be sent to.

It will show up on the USCIS online CRIS system within a few days, a few weeks, or never. The CRIS system is not the REAL computer system USCIS uses for storage of case file data. That system, called CLAIMS (Computer Linked Application Information Management System) is not accessible by USCIS customers over the internet for security reasons. The CRIS system, or "Customer Relationship Interface System", contains only bare minimum information about cases, including case number, basic biographic information about the applicant/petitioner, and current status. The CRIS system gets updated daily by an automated scheduled "job" which is run on the CLAIMS system. There are some specific criteria, or 'flags', which will cause the automated job to skip a case file and not update it's status on the CRIS system. It's not unusual for a flag to get set when a USCIS official is entering or editing data in a case file and forget to clear it when they're finished, which results in some cases appearing to never be updated on the CRIS system.

In other words, if your case shows up and you can track it's progress then that's great. If not, don't sweat it. It doesn't mean anything.
