It is so disheartening to see that my case status has been the same since July 12. I've become an obssesive/compulsive USCIS online checker for almost 5 months now. It makes me feel more upset to see people get aprroved withing 12 days!!!!! :crying: Almost everytime I talk to my fiance on the phone, I start crying. I don't know why, but tears just come out.

So I'd like to know if I still have friends who filed with VSC since March or April and their cases haven't been approved yet, because as I have seen from timeline search in VJ, there are no more March/April filers :(. Everyone got approved. Am I the only one here who has been living in limbo for almost 5 months???

Hang in there, your approval is probably just around the corner. The first time I filed an I-129F it took 9 months before I saw my intended. That didn't work out but the second time it only took 5 months from beginning to end (her arrival) and we are now very happily married. So, instead of worrying about approval start planning what you will do when your love arrives.

Start out by making sure she will have enough time to recover from any jet lag. My wife took two weeks to recover just from the 10 hour time change. She is now fully intergrated into the Pacific time zone after 9 months here.

The more often you check, the higher your frustration level. Try to limit it to one or two times a day. Also, it appears that they do not update the status until after working hours so take your time. One more thing, which will probably add to your frustation. I received my NOA2 before it was listed on the web site. And when they finally did change the notice, the put the wrong date on it. My fiancee arrive 9 days after the posted approval date, so don't expect too much from their web site.

yup...171 days.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Me too, I am a long time friend, ha! We sent ours in the end of March.

Hit with RFE's gallore. Thank God they granted us an extension on the first RFE. We have 3 more months to get it in. I went 6 months not seeing my baby and it was killing us. I finally visited in late July and will be going back in 3 weeks. The wait has been torture, the process, the time lines, the approvals, the USCIS web site postings, etc., etc. But I keep looking at the bigger picture and thinking that all of this is happening for a reason. Our lives are unfolding as it should and the outcome will be our blessing. If you are stuck with Lemons, start making your lemonade, and a little shot of something alcoholic doesn't hurt either :P

I am obviously not in the same boat as most who replied to your post, yet!, but I am concerned and do care about all of you who have been made to wait so incredibly long for a process that obviously can be done in a matter of mere weeks.

Hang in there, hopefully approvals for all March/April filers will come soon!
