Hi guys here I am again...

I am still really busy right now but I have to spare time for this coz it's really important...

When I had my interview on January 4, 2011, the interviewer asked for more proof about our relationship if it is really genuine. After gathering all the documents they needed, we mailed it to them and finally I got my green card last February 10, 2011. But we read something on Visajourney about a stamp on the passport????? Is it really important???? I don't get a stamp on my passport it's because on the day of my interview, they asked for more evidences...

Since, I already have my greencard, can I travel outside the U.S. now without the stamp???? Because I and my husband are planning to go back to the Philippines next year for our wedding there...

Thanks... and may God bless us all! ;)

Seeing you told the previous poster to "look at your timeline" rather than answering a simple qn, I'm going to tell you to look at the threads. Your answer is there.

According to your timeline you received your Green Card Feb 10, 2011. You also stated in your original posting you have received your Green Card. That is all you need. With the physical GC in hand, you do not need the I-551 stamp in your passport. The I-551 stamp is a temporary stamp to allow you certain privileges while the Green Card is being produced.

AP is for Advanced Parole and you do not need to concern yourself with AP any longer.

Good luck all

The I-551 stamp is redundant once you have your Greencard in hand. It is issued at POE for Immigrant Visa holders to serve as proof of legal residency until the physical Greencard arrives.

She had already answered the question in her original post and was otherwise polite in her reply. Why the snark? Besides that, I think whatever you perceived as being impolite could have been chalked up to language differences. If anyone should be understanding of and give the benefit of the doubt on communication issues, it should be people who have foreign spouses.
