Vermont will never get fixed until somebody fixes their attitude problem. It is plainly obvious that they think I129F petitions are some sort of joke that they can ignore forever. It is nothing but fill-in work for them to do only after Obamination's poster country has been fully catered to first.

Exactly Al. I agree with you 100%!!!

Al, I have been in total agreement with you for several months. It is a pity that when a wheel is broken they continue to try and drive it instead of fixing it.

Right now accepting wagers as to if I beat my NOA 2 by taking a 3 month sojourn (flying out Monday Feb 28th)in Norway with my honey whom I have not seen since August 1st. I arrive back Memorial Day weekend... so any takers that I will get back 'before' my NOA2?

It's just like I wrote yesterday: At the Vermont Disservice Center, it does not matter whether it is a holiday or not. To them, every day is a holiday.

Hahahahaha  Exactly!

Well, I assume it's not, but it sure does seem like everyday is a holiday for them...

Maybe we should go work there?! Haha, hire us, USCIS!!

Please tell me that Vermont is not closing down... I'm at 5 months and 2 days and my friend who applied only a couple of weeks before me is already on her way to the interview with her fiancee. My case was received on September 22nd and never touched... I called the office and they said that its most likely a good sign that my case hasn't been touched and I should be receiving something "shortly". They also advised me to wait at least a week before calling again. I'm sorry because I know that some of you have been waiting even longer than me and I'm trying to be patient but I'm literally doing all that I can to distract myself and focus on everything else... but COME ON!!!! This is the most ridiculous process anyone has ever created. Why are we the only country that is founded on diversity but does not support marriage between other cultures in a timely and rational way. We need a movement people!!! Petition, rally or something... anyone else else in...why hasn't this happened yet?

I am actually surprised myself that people have not rallied together outside to protest or at least hold up signs stating how many people apply every year, the amount we pay and how long we have to wait....doesn't make sense....We put in a lot of money to the government just in filing the petition alone....we should be granted a faster turn around than this!

What is this talk of a "government shut-down?" What does that mean and how would it affect the service centers?

a government shut down means that the government runs out of money

if congress can not agree on funding for the govt, it officially "runs out of money" on march fourth

and yes if the government shut down it would have an effect on our visa processing

during the shutdowns of 1995-96 at "20,000-30,000 foreign visa applications per day went unprocessed, as did an estimated total of 200,000 U.S. passport applications."

check out the article for more info

We're just checking Igor's List. At the top of the page you'll see Immigration Timelines. After you're there, in the center you'll see Igor's List.

I caution you about checking the list. You'll become addicted just like the rest of us.
