Congrats :) I checked on the usics website and they have approving now end of Jan and 1 week of Feb 2011 petitions..Good news that they are working fast.

Just curious...in what part of the USCIS website were you able to find this information? Thanks!!

Congrats apeks! Are petitions for Canadians processed faster by trend? Given the fact they Canada borders the US, wonder if it makes background checks faster or something..

Yeah you would think that - I don't know why things take so long... We actually expected that after my wife went home to visit her kids and we had filed there would be no problem with coming back - ha what a joke! They told her if we didn't file for an immigrant visa, no problem returning, BUT since now she was trying to immigrate, no entry until the visa process was complete. She has had to live with her sister in Orangeville and I have been taking things to her from here, since all her stuff was already in the US. Oh yeah and we bought a house and she hasn't even been able to visit it! The US immigration system is an incredible bureaucratic mess.

Ok rant over....good luck with your I130/NVC!!

Filed Feb 10, three months to NOA 2 (May 10); NVC case number on May 20 - Received request for fees today May 25 - Paid today $88 and $404. Now wait for doc list and processing of fees.

There is a trick. Change the last 4 numbers of your case number to previous numbers. It will tell you if people posted before your dates have received the approval or their case status.

NOA2 to NVC (32 days to get Case number)
NVC: (28 days)
07/18/2011 - NVC Received and got NVC case#.
07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.
08/01/2011 - AOS package invoice shows "PAID" and Package mailed to NVC.
08/02/2011 - DS-3032 received by NVC.
08/03/2011 - IV Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.

When you log on to the USCIS site, click on Check your case status. Instead of entering your case #, change the last 4 numbers to previous numbers and it will give you someone else's status that has filed before you. It will give you an idea of what dates they are working on.

Got my NOA2 today!! I didn't even think it would have came on saturday, just thought "well i will just check for the heck of it". Nice suprice!!

And i was also signed up for the email notifications, didn't get one.

Maybe we all will get to go home soon! Save and quick jorney to everyone and the ones of you who are still waiting: It's gona come soon, just patience!

Yayyyy!! Good for you! I checked mine...still nothing. Haven't even had a "touch" since noa1 went out. They haven't even looked at doctor's letters for expedite. Oh well not much longer with this step hopefully...good luck to you!
