Since we, foreign spouses, can't really do anything to speed up the process, USC should be more active and write to everyone who could be responsible for this delay. For God sake, this is America, don't people have rights there? Something should be done. It is a torture to live apart from our families, how can they even want us to prove that we ARE a family when they keep us so long apart? That's not fair! unsure.gif

Hey guys! I emailed my lawyer about me being scared of waiting 5 more months since transfer and all of us getting diffrent answers. This is what she said:

The National Customer Service Center , which is listed on receipt notices, is basically useless. We used to be able to call into each Service Center and talk with an actual human being, but that ended when former President Bush reorganized the former INS. The National Customer Service Center is manned by staffing companies who win contracts with the U.S. government. They are NOT employees of Citizenship and Immigration Services and know very little. That is why you are getting different answers. As a rule, we don’t call them because it is a waste of time.

Now we have to go through a liaison to get through to a human being at the service center. I just did that. The officer told me that your petition was transferred to the Texas Service Center simply because they have more manpower right now to adjudicate and California is overwhelmed and unable to make the five month goal of adjudication. He assured me that your petition will be adjudicated shortly and we will get the decision soon. He also confirmed that the recorded message of an additional 180 days after transfer does not apply in your case.

I hope to have good news for you soon.

Just thought i would share the news with you all!

I thought the same thing. Actually we can write to the president. We can let him know about the discrepancies, difficulties and emotion setback we are having because we July filers are left out, when September filers are getting approved. If I write alone, I will have no voice. However, if everyone writes to the president, we might have a shot because we will have a same voice and concern. I have seen him reading a letter from a 9 year old girl. Why not we next? There is no guarantee that we will be heard, but at least, it is better to give a shoot. We will not regret that we have not done enough to be with our loved ones. We deserve to be together with our loved ones. The address for the president is:

The white House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington DC 20500

Let me know about your thoughts.

Love your idea... strength in numbers. I'm a July 8th NOA1 transferred from CSC to TSC on Nov 2nd. Twelve year-old stepson whose father I sponsored 2 years ago (meaning they've recently done my background check and we already proved the authenticity of our marriage)... how hard is it to approve a kid?! Feel so bad for all of us here. I'm ready to write to the president; count me in.

James and Rosa: I don't see this thing in such a rosy light. If they (the CSC) were so "overwhelmed" then why did they elect to just sit on our petitions for 3 to 5 months and then decide to send them away? Couldn't they see what was happening and send them right away? Now we have to wait until TSC decidss that they have sat on them long enough before we start seeing some ever so slight movement. Whew!

Received hard copy of NOA2 approval today. Dated Dec 9. Only words to describe how I feel: enormous relief.

No online case status update. No text or email notification. No touches since November. No word of approval when I called NCSC on Monday, Dec 15.

I hear hard copy of NOA2 is the real deal so not too nervous about this being a false positive. But I am also not 100% confident given what a mess this process has been thus far.

Hope all of you receive your NOA2s shortly. My priority date was June 28 so I've been past my 5 months for quite some time.

Let's see how efficient NVC is now...
