With a big THANKS to Curvebell, I did a bit of googling.

If anyone wants to get a jump on their medical, here is the link to the Service of Consular Affairs. Select your respective Embassy and it will give you a list of designated physicians, labs and x-ray clinics.

Hi Rachel-Marie,

I had been advised by a few Australian VJ members that we can get a jump on the medical. There are two doctors that will do medicals here in Sydney and the first told me I could not do it until I had my case number. I emailed the embassy and they told me that they highly recommend you wait until NOA2 - but didn't say you couldn't do it. I went ahead and called the second doctors office and they said it was fine - you do not need a case number. The results last for 12 months and are sent directly to me.

Every country is different though so check with some UK VJ'ers.

Hope this helps x

Hey! Thanks and yes that makes sense. Lucky then for you australians! I'm pretty sure that won't work in our case. But thanks for clearing that up!

Its funny because as I have watched my timeline over the months (NOA1 Oct 20) it started out saying that our I-129F could be adjudicated between March 3 March 10. Then in November it started to extended out and by January it was out as far as between March 19 and 26 that it maybe adjudicated. But since beginning of this month it has been retracting and is now between March 15 and March 22 :) . I am leaving to go and see my mapapangasawa for 2nd time in almost 2 years on Thursday March 10. Last I was there was May 2009! Anyway maybe I will get NOA2 while I am there in the Phils with her :D ! That would be nice, as I could start the next phase of things while I am there, or could wait till I get back home March 20. Or if RFE still I can respond cuz she has a duplicate packet of what was sent with I-129F and we can send from there. Or if they need something I can only get at home, I can wait til I get back home to respond. We've waited this long, another week or so would not be too much to bear, for us.

Though we are as excited and anxious as anyone else with our time being so close, we seem to be a bit calmer than many others. Maybe cuz we're a bit older? LOL!! Anyway at this point I think we are more excited about being together again after so long than the prospect of NOA2 looming near - but we are excited about that also!

I suspect that at the rate CSC is progressing right now, early October filers (1st 10 days of Oct or so) may get NOA2 before Feb ends.

God bless all and hope everyone gets NOA2 before they expect!
