(NewsCore) - A Bali teenager caught trying to have sex with a cow was punished by having to marry the animal in front of hundreds of curious onlookers, the Jakarta Globe reported Friday.

Ngurah Alit, 18, an unemployed youth from the seaside village of Yeh Embang in Jembrana, western Bali, was caught trying to romp naked with the animal in a paddy field.

Alit admitted bestiality but told shocked bystanders he had fallen in love with the bovine after it "seduced him" with flattering comments.

Elders organized the "wedding" to cleanse the village of the unholy act of a man mating with a cow, the Globe reported.

Humiliated Alit fainted as he was forced to wed the farm animal in front of hundreds of people.

The "bride" was led to a nearby river after the ceremony and drowned. Alit was symbolically dunked under the water to cleanse him from "defilement."

“Only his clothes were thrown into the sea,” said one villager. “He’s actually a quiet kid.”

Udderly, si man, unless the story is bull.

Not many years ago, a guy in Africa was caught while performing intimate acts with a female goat. He was required to pay a dowry to the goat's owner, and he was married to the goat by the village elder. Someone "got someone's goat," si man.

Reminder of a story: A farmer went to the railroad office to file a claim regarding a cow that had been killed on the railroad tracks. He paused for a moment at the blank for "disposition of the carcass," then finally wrote "kind & gentle."
