i'm hoping they'll review my ds230 with no RFE's at the end of this week and i'll b doneeeeee.

anyone else getting their case closed at NVC in these upcoming 2 weeks??

Something about the documents that go with the DS230 that I didnt know before or maybe misunderstood was that all the documents they ask for petitioner and benefitiary must be ORIGINAL. On the NVC site they say it can be originals or certified , but when I called NVC just before sending my certified docs they said everything must be original. Im really glad I called NVC

ya - 'certified docs' definition can be confusing - if the 'copy' is certified by the original issuing authority that ISSUED the original, then yer golden.

I've been hanging out here too. The NVC received our RFE on May 5 with an AVR update of recipt on May 12. I am looking for a SIF any day.

They signed for our packages May 12th and everytime i cann AVR it says that a packet was generated on may 6th n will be sent soon but we have nothing in the mail?? im guessing its only the instructions for DS 230 anyway. GOOD LUCK!

My AVR just changed from "packet downloaded 4/29" to "waiting on biographical information". I guess that means that they must have received my AOS (which I sent by mail) and are still waiting on our IV (which we sent through electronic processing but have not received confirmation of receipt).

Getting anxious, though!!!

I am thinking that for your casefile, this deals with the translation, into English, of the original documents, yes? There's a section there in that link on translation.

If the foreign spouse's original documents are 'certified copies' by the issuing authority, then yer good on the original document. A translated-to-English document may or may not be appostilled , it depends on who did the translation (IMO). BUT - you may have specific UD Embassy requirements, as well - best to check in with a regional forum here at VJ, ask the question again.

im also here in the last stage of processing in the NVC im still waiting for the review hoping that i will not gonna have the RFE.i just sent my DS230 on MAY 12,2010 hope all is well..does everybody knows how usually it will takes before the case is complete??tnx

But no interview date assigned . I talked to operator and she said unfortunately they have done assigning interview dates for the month of june so I will have to wait for July dates. Question is how soon I can hear from them about the interview date? Is it June 7, that they will start to assign dates for July?
