NVC May 2010 Edition!

I called an Operator today to find out if I could get a June interview. But she said NVC done scheduling the interviews for June.

I called NVC today and I was told that they have not yet received my DS-230. The AVR says that they got it on the 12th. I am wondering if this means Administrative Processing. I have not read anything about AP, but I am wondering if that is what is happening with my case. Any ideas?

Did they say they didn't receive it at all or just that they haven't reviewed it yet?

He said it does not show up in his system and that it is probably somewhere else in the building. How do we know when it's AP? I read somewhere that they don't actually tell you that it is AP. Is that right?

My paperwork was received on the 11th from what the AVR said and it wasn't til today when I called and spoke to an operator she told me they received it but they haven't opened it yet and to call back on Friday that they "should" be reviewing it by then. Hope this helps a little. We are all on hold I suppose.

For some odd reason the AVR knows before the operators do. "STRANGE" even the operators think its strange that the system is set up that way. I'm not sure about AP??? Sorry I can't help with that...

Thanks! I read about somebody having the same thing happening. I thought that the operators had that information before the AVR got updated..

Spoke to Operator and Checked Voice Response, there is no Info about my I864 or DS230.

How long does NVC take to feed this info into their system?

I sent them the paperwork 7th of May and they recieved it on 10th of May.

Anyone else who has sent in their paperwork in around May 10th?

My paperwork was received on the 11th from what the AVR said and it wasn't til today when I called and spoke to an operator she told me they received it but they haven't opened it yet and to call back on Friday that they "should" be reviewing it by then. Thanks for the information. My paperwork was also received on the 11th. I guess I will also call on Friday to see what is happening with my case. I hope that it is "reviewed" by then. Seems that everything has slowed down this month at NVC for some reason...hope to hear good news for all by the end of this week or at least by next week. I want to be able to make it for the July deadline interviews (scheduling).

When I submitted my DS230 package, it was delivered to NVC on May 4. It wasn't until May 11 that all the documents were received by NVC. Seems to take about a week for them to acknowledge receipt upon delivery arrival at NVC mailroom. Hope this helps.
