Congratulations! I guess all the April filers are in "waiting mode" now. Since there didn't seem to be too many VSC April filers the more the merrier!

I hope we start seeing the NOA2 coming soon. From what I can tell, the CSC is processing quickly and those that filed there in April should be getting their NOA2s soon. My application was received April 1 so I'm hoping to get it soon. Still no news…

March 27, 2010 -- Mailed application to Vermont Service Center

April 1, 2010 -- Certified mail confirms delivery

April 19, 2010 -- Called USCIS to update address and got my case#, ie., NOA1

April 22, 2010 -- Touched

August 2, 2010 -- NOA2!!!

Oct 15, 2010 -- Received notification of interview date

Oct. 31,2010 -- Fly to Santo Domingo

Nov. 3, 2010 -- Interview -- VISA DENIED BECAUSE OF IMMIGRATION STATUS

Mar. 9, 2011 -- Received an email indicating the State Department has requested a review of our case

I hope so too. CSC is amazingly very fast while VSC seems to be not as quick. I've been looking at the timelines for the January-March filers and there seems to be a relative average period of 70-90 days. I have noticed though that some filers get their NOA2s within 30-60 days of filing (from their timeline data, these filers aren't military, though I can't say for sure); so there seems to be random occurrence where a VSC filer gets the NOA2 faster than normal. Either way, this period is a lesson and test of patience for everyone involved. I have to admit though that it's really exciting to see others get their NOA2 notice after waiting so long. :star:

Let's keep our hopes high that VSC will enter a phase where they're processing faster (they seemed to have this period last year I believe).

Hello,

how is everyone in this thread?:)

Have a great weekend everybody!

I'm doing well. I haven't logged in here for a while since things have been tremendously busy at work ... which turns out to be a blessing in disguise as it takes my mind of 'the wait'. I've set my heart on things picking up towards the end of June since folks who filed at VSC in February are slowly beginning to receive their NOA2s. Just a few more weeks.

July 13 2010 - USCIS claims that they sent my petition on July 6th to NVC. Sent inquiry to USCIS.

July 21 2010 - USCIS sent email saying approved petition was lost in transit, asking to submit duplicate copy in order to reconstruct my case

Welcome aboard! Cashing the check is definitely a good starting sign. I guess it's all really just about being patient and anticipating the best. I'm often encouraged when I see other VSC filers get their NOA2s since I know that eventually our day will come. The really tricky part for us is coming up with a date for the wedding; I realized that we can't commit to a particular time until the NOA2 is issued. In the interim, we're just slowly getting ready in the areas which we can.

"Fortunately" work is so busy at the moment, I'm too preoccupied to worry about how long it's taking; the busyness is turning out to be a blessing in disguise. :star:

Well, I haven't seen any case when the check was not cashed :)

You are right, patience and hope all we are left with. I think this whole process brings us even closer to our loved ones. It's a big challenge and will to fight for our TRUE LOVE. It's not like you met someone in your town, had a few dates and end up marrying her/him. That's easy. Here we are forced to live apart for months and that's not easy at all. Even tough it's been 4 weeks since I last saw my fiancee, I miss her so much. My life is put on hold, until we are together. When I say this to my friends and family they respond "I know how you feel". I don't think they do. They can't even imagine what I am going through. But, I know you guys do. You know exactly how I feel, and that's why I am here.

We are all strangers on this forum; from different cities, gender, age, culture and etc. But, one big thing unites us here is LOVE.

We are in the same boat. The boat called "April Filers 2010" :) Let's not sink it. I say we keep this topic alive.

Good luck to all of us. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Thank you JVF - you put that so well :) I know my family and friends are trying so hard to be supportive but I think it is only other people in this boat that realise how hard it is to be away from the love your life, your soulmate while the paperwork is dealt with. I left Ted's arms on 28 March and every day is a struggle - not in a major way but hell I miss his hugs so much. Another day closer, another day behind us.....keep the faith and pray for speedy processing :)

Hi! I am also an April filer. I filed my I-129F on April 16. It was received April 19 and the check cleared on the 24th. I got my case # from the back of the check and My case states its in the inicial review status and that the NOA1 letter was mailed out but It is now May and I still have not received one. I called the customer service # and the girl who answered was no help at all. She said there was no way for her to check the address on file. I did read a post from a guy who spoke to the director at the vermont service center and he stated customer service has no access to our cases and that they are there to answer 14 general questions, but I decided to call anyway. I'm concerned I won't receive my other notices from the VSC. Anyone have any suggestions?

We sent out our I-129F on April 7th and got out NOA-1 hard copy on April 14th...

The first month of waiting seemed soooo long, wow!

Hopefuly the next months will go by faster, since Mike and I are seeing each other very soon, in June and July :)

I also hope the 6 months, estimated by VSC on USCSI website, to process the I-129F isn't an accurate information... I much rather preffer believing the Visa Journey estimated time of 4 months...

Ana & Mike

Sep/23 - Received a letter saying our case had been transfered to CSC

Sep/23 - Biometrics done

Oct/08 - Received an e-mail saying my EAD had been approved and that the document was being produced. I finally
