Wow! It looks like we're the only two so far. Hopefully things will start to pick up at VSC for all the folks who've already submitted their petitions. By the way, it looks like your Timeline start date is wrong (it's 2008/04/27) ...

I found out early this morning (via my bank) that my check was cashed. So I'm waiting for the NOA1 in the mail. So far, so good.

I found out early this morning that my check was cashed. So I'm waiting for the NOA1 in the mail. I read you can get your case number from the back of ur check, any idea how the number looks like? Just numbers or numbers with letters?

my fiance sent the I129f last March 30, 2010... we received our NOA1 last April 5, 2010.

the notice date on our NOA1 is March 30, 2010.

To view the status of a case, please enter the corresponding application receipt number. The 13-character application receipt number can be found on application notices you have received from the USCIS. It begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC). Dashes ("-") should be omitted when entering a receipt number. However, all other characters, including asterisks ("*"), can be included if listed on your notice as part of the receipt number.

Mine started with EAC. You may want to sign up for an account so you can set up automatic alerts to either your e-mail or mobile phone (via text messages).

Hmm ... it looks like 'touched' simply refers to the 'Last Updated' date changes (without a change in status).

well just need to ask something while we're all still waiting for our NOA2.

my mom and my brother plan to be at the wedding. what kind of visas can they try to apply for?

mom says that there's a way for them to attend using the wedding invitation right after i send it from the states.

any ideas on this? i was hoping to get more information other than the tourist visa.

is there a way for immediate family to come to my wedding through another visa?

if you can give me all the options so i can research more about it, would be soooo much appreciated!! thank u!!

I sent my K-1 Packet to VSC on Tuesday April 6. It was received and signed Thursday April 8. Clarisse and I are anxiously awaiting our NOA1. Good luck to everyone.

As far as I can tell, the tourist visa would be the fastest route to go. Since one of you is a U.S. Citizen, there are the other immigration visa types, but I doubt you'd be able to get one before the K-1 period is up. If you do decide to go the tourist visa route, you might be able to include a copy of the NOA1 or other pertinent information to show that the reason for the visa application is clearly for the wedding.

Hopefully others with more experience in this area will chime in. In the mean time though, it's probably wise to start to put together the necessary information you'll need for the tourist visa (if you decide to go that route).
