Congratulations!!!!

Please, if you can advise me...

did you employ the service of a lawyer?

how long did it take in all?

will a Lawyer make it any faster?

we had just sent off our application and we fear it might take long bearing in mind we had hoped to be both at a Graduation Ceremony in June after getting married. we really wished everything worked out by June.

wishes :(

Hi not sure which country your SO is from but I suggest you go to that forum and see what the timelines look like for various members. It varies so much for everyone but June is about 4 months away....my advice is not not make any definite plans until Visa is in hand...trust me I had to move my wedding date for that very reason.

Best wishes to you! VJ is a great place to get great advice. I didn't use a lawyer at all...I honestly don't believe it speeds up your application any faster if you do use one. Just make sure you submit all your documents the first go round so no RFE and you should be fine!

Good luck!

Congrats!!!

As for the poster hoping to have visa by June, that's almost an impossibility. It takes around 3 months for your initial I-129F to be approved, and then depending on what country you are going through could be an additional 1-6 months before interview.
