Sorry for the late posting. Well to make my drawn out long story short my fiancee went to the interview very early in the morning. He got there by 6am. The co asked alot of questions like what job i did, how we met, when we met, what University did my Parents attend, they asked about my siblings, has he met my parents. The CO denied him saying that our relationship was not bonafide that he was doing it for immigration purposes. That same day I contacted my senator Benjamin Cardin. They said that they will make inqiries about our case and get back to us.
1/4/2010 My fiancee called me 2am this morning telling me that the Lagos Consulate called him and told him to come back January 14,2010 at 1pm for a second interview and that he should bring more evidence of our relationship. God is soo good. Im so happy.Im hoping for the best.
1/14/2010 Interview was better than the first. Asian CO placed us on Administrative Review because she thought that we were married.

N-400 Interview:
Husband appointment time was at 2:09 pm. We arrived at Kopper Street location at 1:09 pm. My husband checked in, and that when the waiting began. We waited for 4 LONG EXCRUCIATING HOURS!!!! Several times, one of the workers will come out and tell others that are waiting for an interview that they are running behind. They called my husband at 4:50pm. It was a female white officer. He was sworn in, and then he was seated. According to my husband, the officer went through ALL his immigration documents that he has submitted since K1 visa. She asked him questions corresponding to what we answered on the application and his journey so far since he has entered the United States. After that he was asked 7 questions on the civic test:
1. When was the Declaration of Independence adopted? (Husband skipped that question)
2.Name one of the two longest rivers in the United States?
3. Who lived in America before Europeans arrived?
4. What is the name of the speaker of the House of Representatives?
5. What is the name of the President of the United States?
6. We elect a U.S. Representatives for how many years?
7. What do we call the first ten amendments to the constitution?
He did the reading and writing test, and then he was APPROVED!! Normally Baltimore office do the same day oath ceremony but since they were behind, those who passed had to come back Friday March 20th. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
