“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

We must like fantasy watching programs like House, Dr. G., Medical Examine, and NCIS. If you watched the Real NCIS, what takes Tim and Abby to do in seconds, takes them months to do the same thing. And try to find a doctor like House or Dr. G, well with Dr. G, a bit too late. Programs like Law and Order give us the bad impression that our legal system is fair, yet another fantasy, but I liked JAG for the same reason. Waiting for NCIS to give Gibbs a shot at finding Bin Laden, he would have to do it in under 60 minutes, more like 40 minutes minus the commercial breaks.

While Tony, Tim, and Ziva may be very trained observers, sure don't know that Gibbs is right behind them when they make a stupid statement. But certainly true that our government law enforcement agencies fight each other rather than cooperate. They should be made to watch this show.

I really liked Carnivale! Too bad they didn't extend it past 2 seasons.

The girl who played Sofie (Clea Duvall) was on Heroes in the first season, playing an FBI agent.

She's a great actress, I hope she gets more interesting roles like those.

That's one I really want to see. I typically really like those HBO original series. My wife has no interest in Carnivale, sadly.

I prefer watching TV on DVD. There's not much I watch on television otherwise...I just can't stand commercials, plus the week (or more) between episodes of my favorite shows. Now that I've seen the first five seasons of LOST on DVD though, I'm TOTALLY hooked and will be watching that on television as it's on.
