Would this come up in a background check?

She will have to list her employment places and title on the DS-230 form when you turn in your paperwork at the embassy stage of this process . That is where you may have a problem. But like all said earlier, Do Not Lie!!!

But wont show up in back ground check to my knowledge. Good luck!!

No doubt her employer has a discrete name, her title is "entertainer" or "chat room host" There just really is no prob;em and nothing to lie about here.

It is also very likely, as these places often do, that she was, in fact, SELF EMPLOYED. Her employer would then be, truthfully, "Self Employed" and her line of work is "entertainer" or "hostess", "dancer" whatever. Or even "internet sales"

"Entertainer" might lead to questions. One of the other more-ordinary appellations would be better.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

webcaming isnt prostitution? the person doesnt leave there own room? no sexual acts with another person are performed?

your post doesd not add anything to the discussion. refrain from personal attacks as they are against TOS. reported,

??

Sorry i was asking a question. i was trying to help the OP, im confused about the nature of this issue. what was the personal attack?

I agree with Utopia. How is this even an attack? She has a different opinion that yours. You can be mad about it, but I don't see how making threats and lying helps anyone around here. We're all a bit old for bullying. :innocent:

I for one agree with her. What she did was not prostitution. I would have no problem calling it performance art. Heck, nude painting isn't prostitution. People posing in Playboy and Hustlers are not prostitute, if anything, you can call it "modeling". :)

Choose the term wisely, because when it comes time to convince USCIS or a consular officer, being conservative is best. Avoid unnecessarily raising anyone's eyebrows or courting any probing questions that could leave you squirming -- or your visa denied.

No. How would it? She was not arrested. No criminal conviction

I'm totally confused why you reported this person. If anything their post added more to the conversation than yours did. Where's the personal attack in what they said?

To the OP : I doubt it would be an issue at all. Just say you met on a 'chat website', 'profile site' (or whatever you want to call it.

I'm sure anyone reviewing your case will read between the lines, and know exactly what you mean when you put her job down as 'entertainer', or 'performance art' ;)

No. Her employment is almost certainly "self employed".

I thought of "modeling" after I made my other suggestions. "Self Employed...Modeling" Perfectly true answer.

The G-325a does not ask for a "job description" it asks for name and address of employer.

Yeah, I agree; I didn't see this as a personal attack and am curious why you thought so?

She was not a prostitute, so far as OP knows. As far as the USCIS and DOS are concerned, she was probably self-employed and her business address was wherever she maintained her financial records, i.e., at home. You met on an internet chat forum and one thing led to another. At the AOS interview, if there is one, they might ask "which forum" and then it's honesty time...blushing would be appropriate

The sordid thing is that i met my fiancee on a porn site, Streammate. She used to chat with guys and do private shows. We have decided to marry. We have made up our minds, so i am not asking for advice about that. Question is, should we lie on the K1 application and when she goes to her interview? We could make it vague, but what if they ask detailed questions during the interview? We did not break any laws and it was not a marriage broker site. We have good evidence for the relationship.

Anyone else met this way, pls PM me.

Should I get a lawyer before we file K1?

Thx

Ummm. Before I can give an educated opinion, you'll need to send me copies of your pre-engagement chat logs. All of 'em. Don't forget to include the screen caps, as well.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

lol. This made my day.

But as many have said before, choose your words carefully. We live in the year 2009 where a secretary is not a secretary anymore, she is (or he is) an administrative assistant, for example. It goes to incredible, and stupid, length, but I would use that in my favor.
