Where is the vomiting emoticon when you need it? We were handed a baby yesterday as a means for "birth control" (a joke from our friends). This was WAY more effective though. The thought of having kids these days is scary.

I really really am thinking about sending our kids to some boarding school in India whenever the time comes. I try not to be judgemental but what I see out here everyday kind of makes me sick, I see 11 year olds smoking, I see teenage mothers.

I am not saying these things don't happen in India, sure they do but usually the middle class stays away from these types. So, I don't really care if it sounds ruthless but I am open to the prospect of sending off 6 year old to a boarding school.

AS you can also see she was taking direction from someone outside the picture of this vidoe. See how she stops looks up and then goes back down? I knew this little girls who's mom thought is was so cute for them to dance as such. My daughter tried it once and that was the last time. It is Deplorable but children are products of their parents what more can ya say???????

I worked with a group of 4-5 year olds who decided to throw me a going away party on my last day. Someone put on the local radio station, and a very similarly disturbing scene broke out. Not one other "adult" seemed to bat an eye. I was so disturbed and looked for anything else to put on. I found a Barney cassett tape and decided to put it in, completely expecting for a backlash from the kids because Barney obviously ain't "cool". Instead, all the little girls and boys stood up straight, put their arms around each other and became a chorus of "I love you, you love me.....". They were as happy as could be. Ummm...apparently kids do follow the examples set for them.....

I amend this to say any 'public' middle school. And this is yet another reason why my daughter goes to private school.

I teach high school and we still see the kids dance sometimes like this at school dances. We stop them and I've had conversations in class with the kids about it and they sometimes truly don't get why it's inappropriate. It's how they all dance on MTV, why is it bad? Um, because you are simulating sex? When I tell them that, sometimes the kids get so embarrassed...it's as though they don't put two and two together. Of course, a lot of my students are pretty naive and sheltered in this way, but it's truly a product of our current society.

Unfortunately, my students are not naive and know exactly what they are doing. I'll put it the way my first principal put it 17 years ago when I first started teaching. He was trying to get more teachers to volunteer to come chaperone the dances. He said, "We need some help scraping them off the walls." I understood what he meant at the first sock hop. The girls would be standing with their backs against the walls, casually observing their nails or whatever. The boys would be totally oblivious to us as they rubbed themselves against the girls. But what I found the most shocking was what was going on in the middle of the dance floor. There was a mass of gyrating bodies with hands everywhere. I don't think they knew or cared who they were touching. I'm positive the boys did not realize their hands were sometimes groping other boys. It was a massive orgy without the nudity. The popular dance at that time was the tootsie roll. It's a much earlier version of what is shown in this video. This is how the orgy would begin.

These were high school students. The little ones are only doing what they see the older ones do, as I described in an earlier post about my friend who remembered having sex at the age of 6 or 7. But we have to remember that a lot of high school students are parents. I can only imagine what sorts of things I would think it would be cute for my child to do if I was only 15 when she was a toddler. It wouldn't have been anything like what we see on this video, but it would have been just as stupid, I'm sure.
