oh and another one is homemade apple pie with ice cream...

the MCD's apple pie will do in a pinch :P

ohhhhh...I haven't had a MCD's apple pie in years.

My mom used to make a peach cobbler that was made just for ice cream.....grrrrrrrr.

I have too many to name. I like most ethnic foods: Creole/Chinese/Persian/Lebanese/Indian/Thai/Mexican/African/Scandinavian/Italian/French/Spanish Tapas, Fried catfish with hush-puppies and cole slaw, stuffed crab, coffee ice cream, cookie dough, plain or white choc. bread pudding, rice pudding, baklava and berry cheesecake. But I guess my ultimate comfort food that I could eat every other day would be a tie between creole red beans and rice or grilled Norwegian salmon with boiled potatoes and asparagus with melon for dessert which are oddly the healthier options of my comfort foods.

I think McD's have changed the way they make them because they taste better then what they used to a few years ago..

I make a fruit cobbler that is really yummy... I mix a bunch of fruit together, like apples, strawberries, blueberries etc...

OMG...what a thread. It did give me ideas though...oatmeal with brown sugar, grilled cheese and tomato soup, macaroni and cheese (NOT KD)...all of these have been said. I'm sure there is a theme here. Something that's high in calories usually means "comfort" doesn't it? I also wonder if "comfort food" is different for men vs women?

What's more comforting than nachos? All that hot cheese, spicy jalapenos, salty chips. It's the food equivalent of walking into a warm hug that tells you "everything's gonna be okay now"

Real love stories never have endings...
