Seriously, with the amount of paper from the supporting documents following our first package for the I-129F visa - I think we just sacrificed an entire tree worth ourselves :innocent: When mailing out the package, I had to weigh it to know how much it would cost and the entire thing actually weighs 600 grams - quite a bit if you ask me!

Anyone else here who claimed a tree themselves when filing for the I-129f?

Funny how it was claimed at one time how computers would lead to a paperless society. So much for that prediction.

Unfortunately, computers use printers that use paper.

A friend of mine scans in as much papers and docs that he can into his Mac.

Also, be sure to get your bank and credit card statements just online, and not mailed to your estate.

Paperless is the way to go! But you still must use paper when you go :star:

Trees are terrible, have two large Oak tree that spread thousands of seedings each year, they grow about 3-4" and die due to lack of sun eaten up by the parent tree. Haven't figured out if they are girl or boy trees yet. Had to remove an Ash with a rotted out trunk early this spring, left a huge 30 foot gap to see the clear sky with no shade. That only lasted about a month, the adjoining trees filled that gap trying to hog all the sunshine they can get. It's amazing how trees know which way to grow branches to get that sunlight.

And you don't dare exhale near a tree, it's branches will grab and hold you to suck out the last bit of CO2 you have in your breathe. Harvesting trees is no different than harvesting grass in my next of the woods, constant growth, and constant death once a tree ages, they don't live forever, and will even kill each other to gain more sunlight, survival of the fittest I believe they call that.

But the claims against the USCIS are valid requiring tons of proof, wife saw her 3 1/2 inch thick file at her USC interview, but most of it was redundant, SOS, we call that, same old stuff. Recycling paper is crazy, polluting the rivers with bleach to get rid of all that ink plus hurting the tree farmers. If you own wooded land, can't keep up with picking up the dead stuff, but one way to get rid of all that ####### is to make paper out of it, and send it to the USCIS.

If you think you've killed one tree with the paper for the I-129f , well, I'll just say, be prepared to kill a grove of trees for the AOS and Removal of Conditions part - the I-129f was the smallest of all of our applications. Good luck to you.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I'm not a tree hugging hippie... but I live near San Francisco so I'm close enough.

*waggles finger* You should be ashamed of yourselves. I kept my application down to 40 pages. That's only half a tree.
