Consulate Review: Norway
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 25, 2009
Embassy Review : K1 interview! I got in line early to make sure I had enough time, but I still had to wait 30 mins or so before they called me. They did a screening of the documents before telling me to wait some more. At no point did they ask to see any of the proof I brought with me regarding us being engaged, our relationship being genuine or latest visit. It took about ten minutes to hand over the papers, the officer receiving them was nice and polite.. then I waited, and waited, and waited.. I swear it was the longest wait. About two hours later I was called again and another officer asked me questions. I was surprised by the amount of questions I got. What made me a bit uncertain was how the officer never replied to any of my answers, she just skipped to the next round of questions.. but finally she gathered all the documents and told me everything looks good and I would recieve the package with my visa in mail sometime next week. All in all it was a good experience. Just remember not to bring any bags with you, you won't be allowed to keep them with you. Also bring an umbrella if it's raining, you might get soaked otherwise!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
