I want to thank visajourney.com and everyone contributing to this great site for all your help and insights.

I was afraid to open the letter from USCIS since it's been less than 2 months since I submitted my petition so thought it was a RFE. When I saw the NOA2 letter, for a moment I thought it was an April Fools' joke. I am really really glad I stumbled into this website because I was initially thinking about hiring a lawyer (to screw up my petition ), but after finding and reading through the guide and forums in this site, I got the courage to pursue it myself. I hope the rest of this process proceeds as smoothly and to insure that it does, I will rely on this site once again.

Thanks again VJ and its members.

this site is priceless.

I do't know who did it first, but that was the best thing to do.

that capitalistion of information, those stats, those connections...

that's indeed priceless, esp. in front of a gov. that doesn't give any total and transparent view.

Sure thing. My USCIS status is still "received and pending" even though there was an update on 3/27/09 (which was the NOA2). So website is pretty much unreliable. Also never received email from them. I also called NVC (couldn't wait :innocent:) and automated system has never heard of me :crying:

Thanks everyone for your sentiments.

Just so you know, the automated system at the NVC doesn't include K1 applications. You need to press 1 and then 5 to talk to a real person and ask them about your case

Congrats!

VJ is a great site. It will be helpful to us K-1'ers all the way through, long past the time our loved ones finally get to the US. There's still AOS, AP, EAD, removing conditions, ahead ....

Good luck with the rest of your process
