Vermont is currently working on Feb./ March NOA1 Cases and they are so backed up right now. People who get transferred to California get approved with in a month. Yeah so California process times are way faster. My case was at VSC since June and this was the transfer I needed cause no touches or actions for 6 months. I hope to get an approval with in the next 30 days.

I see that. Now, how can one get transferred? Did you call and bug them, or did they just randomly pick a whole bunch of folks to transfer over?

This is bad news... I just sent in my I-129F one week ago. Does this mean it won't even be looked at until next September? (9-10 months from now, following the current trend)

Dec. 15, 2008- I-129F mailed in

Dec. 18, 2008- Received by VSC

Dec. 18, 2008- NOA1 issued by VSC

Dec. 23, 3008- Touched

Dec. 24, 2008- NOA1 received in mail

Apr. 9, 2009- NOA2 issued by VSC

Jan. 1, 2009- Fiances re-united! :)

.... (need to find data)

Aug. 17, 2009 POE in Miami

Oct. 30, 2009 Submitted AOS

Dec. 18, 2009 Email about approval of Advance Parole and issuance of EAD

i can never understand their logic when they transfer. they are transferring august NOA1s. i am an early june NOA1 (filed in May) and i still havent heard anything about the transfer. i hope they are working on my file to just get it done in VSC. i would rather get it approved here rather than sitting in CSC for another month. but lets see what happens.

for you, i hate to say it but it looks like a long way to go. find a new hobby, engagage urself into something. the time will eventually fly. good luck!

:) I'm so excited, our case got transferred from VSC to CSC today too!! I hope the one month thing rings true even though my NOA1 is Oct 1st and seems like most of those transferred were July... ?

By the way, how do you know when you got touched, I am registered for email on the uscis website and they sent an email to let me know of the transfer but every time I check it on the site it just says the same thing until now when it says it was transferred. Do you get emails saying 'touched' too?

Peace and Prayers for all,

Mariah

I dont believe this and I should be sleeping to go to work tomorrow - but this news....email from USCIS.

I called in today the USCIS and was very polite in asking the status of my application. I was concerned that my application was last touched in Oct 7th. He gave me the same old information that was on their website until the morning. And then today/tonight, I get this email that my application got transferred over to California.

:dance::dance::dance:

Best of luck to everyone.

I think the way it goes is to create a Case status online on the USCIS page and subscribe your case number to your portfolio. There is a column there which says Last Updated. My understanding is that whenever the date changes, someone from USCIS touched your file. If you check on words in this forum "touched", you will find that it means nothing except that it gives some assurance that the file is not LOST or forgotten. Even then, it might not be the case.

Happy Holidays. Hey I am Oct 1st too.

Best of luck and stay in touch.
