We also got a notice saying our case was transferred to CSC. Our receipt date is Sep 18 and the notice date is Dec 22.

I was looking over the timelines here. How do you know when something is "touched"? I don't even know we were already in VSC. We got no notice of that by mail. We check the status online and just signed up for e-mail notices. :)

How soon before we hear from CSC?

I forgot to add. The notice said "We transfered this case because the record indicates that office has jusisdiction over the case." So does this mean it was transferred from VSC or the Chicago Lockbox? :innocent:

It just lets you know that your case is being handled and that it didn't get lost or forgotten. I think you see it when you sign up for e-mail notices at the USCIS web site. The "last updated" section will tell you. If it changes, there has been a "touch." I've only recently signed up for it so I'm still trying to figure it out. But reading the older posts, that's my conclusion. :)

just talked to my attorney... he is checking into the approvals for the transferred files and whats going on with all the files that were left behind at VSC. He said he will get back to me.

We may ask to be transferred.
