Did my Biometrics today (walk in) at the Orlando office..

really good service, I was in and out in ten minutes, didn't even get to sit down to wait

They said that Saturday's usually are the quietest day's, today they had 108 appointments and all were done by noon

Hey, thanks for the tip! It is really great to know that we can just walk in the local office to get the biometrics done, once we've got the appointment letter. However, do you know if there are specific hours where they allow to do that?

And also, in your signature, you say that your biometrics were taken on sept 20th AND that the biometrics appointment will be on the 30th... I am confused, are you going to go there again?

Thanks

Faustine

I just left it in there for info purposes...

From reading a whole bunch of threads on this forum and others, Sat appears to be a good day, although people have had walk-ins at any time during the week as well - depends on your local office

I'm about to mail my I-485 package but I'm not sure what fee do I need to pay and what's the address i need to send everything to. Can anyone help me out?

You can find answers to both of those questions in the USCIS Instructions for form i-485.

Here is a link to the instructions:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf

The address to file depends on your location and you can find it on pages 5-7 of the instructions.

I mailed my entire package together to the appropriate address

(large envelope containing i-485, i-131, i-130, 1-765).

The fee is listed on page 7. It is one check for $1010 for i-485 ($930 fee + $80 for biometrics).

If you are filing concurrently with i-130, that form carries an additional fee of $355 to be send as a separate check.

Good luck! ;)
